Hotel Almirante Reviews

Me and my partner stayed at Almirante for a week and found it a very pleasant place to stay. Great location as it’s right on the beachfront with good food spots close by. Consum supermarket is located directly behind the hotel which was handy to purchase snacks/drinks as the prices in the hotel are a little high. The cleanliness and overall condition of the hotel and the pool is good. I’d definitely recommend and would visit again in the future.

very good hotel, nice rooms with big balconies and most of the rooms with pool view. rooms are cleaned every day. pool is very chilled, there is a bar. You can't bring your own drinks. San Juan beach (very clean and nice) is right across the road. 5 minutes walk. I stayed in August 2024. of the minuses I can note that breakfast is not included in the price. and the restaurant is a bit overpriced

Fantastic experience from start to finish. We arrived early and the hotel kindly allowed us to check -in as soon as they had availability. The hotel was lovely, super clean and the staff were great. The pool although slightly deceiving in size from the photos, was still a great size, really clean and it has great table service around the pool. The hotel was a 1-2 minute walk from the beach, and really accessible to public transport. I would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay at Hotel Almirante. The staff were really helpful, the room spotless, it has a lovely pool area and is just a stone's throw from the beach. The rooms ending with 15 have a balcony on two sides (we had 515 which was the top floor and it was lovely to get the sun for much of the day). We didn't opt for the breakfast but did have food from the snack menu and ate in the restaurant one evening and it was all great.

My honest review. This hotel concentrates on corporate events and as holiday travellers, we were made to feel like second class citizens by the bar and restaurant staff. Front desk were lovely and friendly,but everytime we ordered a meal or drink the bar and restaurant staff were very rude. We spent slot of money there eating evening meals on 3 occasions, everytime there served us they said "two diet cokes ?" I had to say no each time and say no thanks I would like s bottle of rose etc. They ran around after the local corporate guests and we always felt out of place. They sneered at us each time we ordered. The room was very lovely the pool gorgeous but there is a large construction site next to the pool and the noise is constant and horrendous, not the hotels fault but be aware its not peaceful at all, its a constant siren and angle grinding. No other restaurants open near the hotel for the 5 days we were there but as e left they had opened today so there would be more choice now. Breakfast was lovely but again we were the only one dressed for a holiday amongst lots of business suited guests and it didn't feel relaxing or comfortable. Older gentleman on reception very friendly. They need to tell the bar and restaurant staff to be nicer to holiday guests, we were very polite but they always made us feel like we were not worth bothering with. Beach is stunning, very quiet residential area, if it wasn't for the construction site noise it would be very peaceful.

Everything just perfect! The service, restaurant, delicious pool and bar, right next to the beach with amazing views. It is a hotel of referencia in the Alicantine cost. Very recommended for a weekend. The team was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back!

Super friendly and clean stay! The hotel is in a great location, so close to a lovely clean sandy beach, Super comfy bed, fab shower and tasty food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and have booked to stay again in September, thank you muchos :)

This hotel is a little oasis in Alicante's San Juan Beach. It's small, relatively quiet, with lovely lush grounds and just a couple of minutes from the beach across the road. The tram stop for an easy ride south to Alicante town or north to other resorts is about 5 mins walk. Rooms are good and very clean, staff are really friendly and helpful. I would say it's best suited for couples, singles, small groups, ie adults rather than families with young children as it's relatively quiet. I have been 3 or 4 times, and will definitely be returning.

Unimpressed. Here for a few days alone to get some beach after business trip. Arrive late hot and tired. Aircon in room not working, is oven. Senor insists I am panicking, I'm not. Admits not working after wearying long convo with remote support. Also refuses to move me to another room, says hotel full, patently not true from quick flight combat websites. I have lovely view of busy road when fairly sure requested sea view. hotel is also not "beachfront" as advertised - you have to go out of hotel, down dark road and across tram tracks. However! Outside restaurant very pretty, lit up trees etc. by now I havent eaten all day & am happily in mood for a meal. Male waiter shouts at me for sitting at table for 4, says I should have booked. It is after 10 and restaurant almost completely deserted. Yes people eat late in Spain but not, apparently, here. I ask what wine by the glass. He reels it off too fast to make out, says is not written down. I ask again, same deal. I pick last - luckily it's v nice. TBF food is good and female servers very nice - only man is a prick. Altogether though at £170 a night, not a great experience.

Very nice modern hotel, 3 minutes from the long Costa Blanca sandy beach and 5 minutes walk to the Benidorm to Alicante tram stop. Spacious room and bathroom, shower has glass screen. Nice towels and free shampoo, shower gels. Lovely pool with a hotel bar close by. Buffet style breakfast with a good selection of hot, cold meats etc, fresh fruit, hot and cold drinks. Restaurant food good. Nice well kept grounds. The resort itself is not very commercial Three beach front Restaurants that close 4.30/5.30 ish and one further beach bar. You have to search into town for the few other bars and restaurants and these often do not open until after 8pm. We took the tram to El Capello or Alicante town for evening meals, both about 15 mins ride @ 1.45 euros a trip, approx every 30 mins.

We had a wonderful rest at Almirante Hotel in August 2024. All staff are very friendly and they care about their guests. They really know what hospitality is. We felt very comfortable there. The room was clean, housekeeping did their job very well. Excellent location, just a couple of minutes to the beach, good supermarket around the corner and cafes with seafood at the beach. The hotel is located in a lovely town called El Campello. It was quiet at night, which allowed us to get a good rest. We are very grateful for the wonderful service provided at Almirante Hotel!

More 4-star hotel than 3. Love the interior, the balcony and the swimming pool. Great location close to beach. The beds were bit hard that’s why not full score. We booked premium room and happy with that. Breakers was superb also the service around swimming pool serving cocktails!

Had a wonderful stay in this lovely hotel. The hotel is very close to the beautiful sandy beach and promenade of Playa San Juan, which is approximately 15 min by taxi from Alicante centre. The decor in the public areas is very nicely done. Food in restaurant and bar was excellent and prices were similar to other restaurants in the area. The pool area is well maintained. Pool/beach towels are provided and there are an excellent changing rooms with showers etc for guests departing later in the day. All staff were very helpful and always pleasant. An ideal hotel for a relaxing beach break. The photos taken from our balcony show the pool area and how close the beach is to the hotel. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and a supermarket nearby.

This hotel is a gem. So close to San Juan beach. The rooms are modern, comfortable and clean. All of the staff were so nice, and helpful. The pool area is a lovely relaxing spot, with plenty of loungers, and an outdoor bar/cafe. Would highly recommend
