Hotel Orchard One @All Staff Vaccinated

Great stay with our family in Allahabad near all the attractions and govt offices...courteous staff, polite reception and last but not least of all great food..we had all our meals in this restaurant only..deceently priced, really smiling staff, specially Sonu...rooms are a bit small but have all the amenities except fridge..we were even allowed for a late check out...will surely recomment for a wonderful stay.

The location in Civil Lines is what attracted us to this property for a two-night stay. It also seemed relatively new. But it was a minor disaster. We were first given a room on the third floor. After we checked in and wanted to go out for a walk, we found that the door key (card) did not work. This could not be fixed when we came back after several hours. The Reception suggested that the door could be opened by a master key which THEY would use every time we wanted to get in! We opted for a room change to the second floor instead. In this hotel hot water is a serious issue. Possibly they turn on a geyser for short intervals. The water has to run for more than 20 minutes before hot water appears. This we learnt the day we were checking out. In our bathroom it was impossible to switch totally from tap to hand-shower – they work simultaneously. There was a bath tub but no shower curtain or floor mat. Even though we had booked for two persons there was one towel and toiletries for one. The breakfast is only buffet and very basic. The bed and linen were good. The room was quiet. There was a TV but no BBC, CNN, or NDTV 24x7. The room had an electric kettle with tea, coffee, milk, and sugar -- but no spoons in both rooms. We had to ask Room Service for them but even then they were taken back when the room was cleaned. To fully-capitalize on the excellent location, much effort and planning will be needed. Otherwise it will remain a poor value for the money charged.

I am right now staying in this hotel and this is my second stay here. My 1st stay 2 month back was a good experience but this time it is worst. Pathatic service. Used linin( towels) were provided. No soap and I realized this after freshen up. Had to come out make a call thrice and got a soap after 20 mins. Lot of mosquitos in the room. Its seems there is no pest control done in this hotel. I saw a huge lizard in my room which was a nightmare for me. Shocking part is that they were very normal in there reply initially, the person on the phone said, " Sir please don't worry I am sending a boy to remove it" I immediately took my luggage down to reception and now they were very courteous to immediately change my room. I reluctantly agreed but now there was that fear in my mind. Worst part is that my 1 stay two months back for three persons i was charged 25% more than my this stay for only one person. The rooms this time too was of standard quality. Maybe they don't encourage single traveller I spoke to Mr. Alok kamar the incharge at reception and asked to co****sate which is well deserved and justified. But he straightaway refused. Pathetic. They room boys were smiling at my conditions. Had a very bad day after such a long time. I would definitely rate it zero if given an option. Shocking while writing this review at reception water from top started dripping on my head and my mobile phone. Just stay away. Better to stay at some guest house or **********.

Stayed there for one night with my family. We had booked 2 rooms but the cleanliness and service was poor. When contacted the front desk about the issues in both the rooms the response was not at all supportive. They need to work on providing better services for the price they’re charging.
