Naya Hotel

[Location] The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Almaty's Abay Metro Station. You can also find a large supermarket, Magnum Super, about a 15-minute walk away, and there are various restaurants nearby, so you generally won't have any issues with the location. [Facilities] Cleanliness: As a new hotel, both the bed and the room are clean. There are no problems with cleanliness. Heating: Central Asian hotels in winter are often too hot, possibly due to radiator piping issues, but this hotel is cold. My room had air conditioning, but for some reason, even when set to heating, it would blow slightly cool air, and there was no way to warm it up. Plumbing (Water Facilities): Hot water is available for showers, but you have to wait several minutes (sometimes 15 minutes, sometimes 3 minutes). Even when the water is hot enough to shower, the temperature isn't stable and can turn lukewarm. A hairdryer is not provided in the room. Soundproofing: Conversations in the hallway and the front desk bell are almost perfectly audible. Breakfast: Breakfast is delivered to your room; they knock on your door around 7:00-9:30 AM. The delivery time varies by day, but if you specify a time at the front desk the day before, it seems they'll deliver it at that time the next day. Wi-Fi & Electrical System: Wi-Fi is extremely weak, and the room's circuit breaker tends to trip easily. While Wi-Fi can sometimes be used for watching videos or browsing websites, it quickly switches to mobile data when using a smartphone. Occasionally, mobile data also goes out of range when in the room. Furthermore, the circuit breaker for the room would frequently trip, even though the hallway lights were on (one day it tripped 4 times). When I asked the front desk, they responded quickly, but it seems the breaker is prone to tripping even with minimal electricity use. [Overall Impression] I think the hotel has a good location. However, due to the vulnerabilities in the hotel's facilities, caution is advised if you plan a medium-to-long-term stay or if you are visiting during winter.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. From my window, I had a view of a replica of the Eiffel Tower. The room was clean and had everything I needed. Plus, there was a complimentary breakfast, which was quite good. A metro station is nearby, and there are plenty of cafes and shops within walking distance. I really liked the hotel. If I'm ever in Almaty again, I'll definitely stay there. I recommend it.

The location is perfect. However, for this price, the quality is below average. The receptionist was rude. We booked through Trip.com with breakfast included, but in the morning, they told us we hadn't informed them about it. The room was uncomfortable; the air conditioner blew directly onto the bed. In the shower, there were no rubber slippers, no towel rack, and no shelf for shampoo. There wasn't even a basic 0.5L bottle of water.

This guesthouse is run by Chinese owners and it's very new, though there's still a slight smell of renovation. It's a bit far from the city center, but the environment is quite nice.
