Grand Hotel Tien Shan

This is a lovely hotel with great charm and character in the centre of Almaty in a perfect location by parks and pedestrianised streets, cafes and restaurants. The breakfast is great. The deluxe room was wonderful but didnt have nice views. The standard single room was fine amd views better. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful but one or two could improve their customer service by being more relaxed and friendly

A beautifully kept, well located hotel with an excellent amenities. Unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to use the spa but everything else was great.

Unfortunately, the trip didn't take place. The hotel was warned and didn't even want to meet me halfway and return part of the money based on a medical certificate. It's a shame.

Clean modern property and very convenient location.

By mistake, I book the wrong day. A genuine mistake. Although it was clearly mentioned it was non-modifiable,, I still naively expected them to be kind enough to modify my booking date. They did not. So I paid but for one night without staying. This is not about just the rules. This is about empathy, kindness and humanity. Consequently, the hotel failed big time. I wish them the best. In addition, I will not book through trip.com anymore also. It is partly their fault due to the fact that they are not able to convince the hotel that what they do is not abide by the morality overall.
