Dinner in the hotel is problematic. The menu needs to be downloaded to the phone. It is not readable there. There is no alternative. Or from the phone or not. Frozen waiter will not help you. As a result, dinner was in a restaurant opposite the hotel. The hotel was filled with interest on thirty, but behind the wall we were settled by drunken people who arranged a debosh at four in the morning. Resepschn did not solve the problem, said ”we spoke to the guests,” but the noise continued. Only after the promise in the morning to complain to the leadership, we were offered to move to another room for the night. And be ready, that in the morning, at breakfast, you will be treated with pro-Ukrainian propaganda on two TVs. At the request of changing the channel, the answer was that ”we are obliged to show the world news.” Well, the yelling maids in the hallway are fully voiced It is clear that all the forces of the leadership have gone to build a building of the corresponding level of a five-star hotel, and the building has really succeeded, and the service of the forces is no longer enough. This is the best hotel I have stayed at in Almaty; the location is pretty, it's convenient, and it's quiet. The hotel itself is meticulously maintained, clean as can be, and very well appointed. My room (deluxe) was big and very comfortable, as was the bed. Best of all was the staff - efficient, friendly, and flawless manners! A trip to the bar found it wonderfully-stocked and quiet comfortable; breakfast, while not the most inventive buffet I've seen, was of outstanding quality and execution. Really impressive. The only shortcoming was that I could have used a refrigerator in my room - but I cannot even register that as a complaint - just a suggestion.

It's a very well know hotel with beautiful outlook. There's a grand ballroom on the Ground floor next to the entrance which could be rather noisy for guests even till 11pm. They at first tried to put me to a room on a floor under overhaul renovation which is dim and dirty with renovationn debris and tools everywhere (see pics posted). I refused and insisted to have a change. The changed one is much normal.

Отель Алматы У отеля есть большая парковка, расположен отель относительно близко к центру. Брала отель ради бассейна. Работали удалённо, по московскому времени, думала ходить плавать утром. Пришла, а он на ремонте. Воды нет, чистят. Снимали на 5 дней, его залили в поседений день и вода отстаивалась (не ходила проверять, так сказали). Если бы знала заранее - не бронировала бы. Тренажёрный зал в ужасном состоянии, маленький. Хороший хаммам и сауна. Полотенца просят брать свои из номера, хотя они есть в спа-зоне. Около отеля расположена бензоколонка. Сумасшедшие женщины кассиры круглосуточно в мегафон орут клиентам советы. Даже ночью! То, что они находятся под окнами жилого дома и отеля, их не смущает. В одну из ночей в соседний номер пришли девочки по вызову. Стучались к нам в номер в 3 часа ночи, потом со смехом ушли, что перепутали. Очень было весело им, видимо. Помимо шумного соседа в номере был постоянный шум в канализации, как будто насос работал. Завтраки хорошие, разнообразные, но не хватило десертов или булочек - все круассаны какие-то залежалые. Попробовали пообедать один раз в отеле. Дорого, долго готовили. Апероль принесли почти без самого апероля, как шампанское с соком. Интернет иногда пропадал минут на 5, что некомфортно для удалённой работы. От отеля остались неприятные воспоминания, ни за что бы не поехала второй раз.

A hotel with a very good room and location. Opposite the University of Science and Technology, you can walk to a supermarket in ten minutes, which contains a lot of things. The room is very big, the bed is very, very comfortable, the room is quiet, and I sleep well every day. One set of toiletries for one person. Only the basic set. The breakfast is really rich, five-star standard, various meat, egg, milk and fruit desserts, so satisfying. The only downside of the hotel is that the network is really bad, basically useless, only use your own mobile phone to have better traffic. It is strongly recommended to improve. I mentioned it to the front desk, but there was no improvement. All others are very satisfied. But considering the network, it may not come next time.

Our July 3-12, 2023, family stay at the Novotel Almaty City Center Hotel for our son and daughter-in-law’s Qyz Uzatu bride’s wedding was memorable and outstanding. The staff was accommodating beyond expectations. Examples of services and assistance furnished include: 1) gorgeous congratulatory bouquet of roses, cake, and bottle of champagne for bride and groom upon their arrival, 2) Front Desk Receptionist Elmira ordered, negotiated, and “babysat” multiple wedding flower bouquets the day of the bride’s wedding event, 3) Deputy General Manager Yevgeniy personally helped finalize five 10-day room reservations, following up multiple times ensuring our full satisfaction, then emailing us a farewell and thank you note for our stay, 4) Front Desk Manager Altyn happily assisted with various requests, 5) entire staff was cooperative, positive, and professional, and 6) hotel restaurant’s breakfast buffets were delicious, and lunches were quite satisfying, too. Additionally, the hotel location was fantastic b/c: it’s adjacent to the large public plaza with memorial and fountains, as well as the tram to the nearby mountaintop which had restaurants, zoo, amusement park, etc.; walkable city center with nearby restaurants, shopping, green spaces, and more. Based on our family’s experience, we zealously endorse and recommend the Novotel Almaty City Center Hotel and will fondly remember our stay and the hotel’s kind, thoughtful, and service-oriented staff for taking care of our family.

The breakfast was good, but not fantastic. The room was good and clean, there were some supplies in the toilette. Parks and places around the hotel are nice, and you can have a good walk around, if you wish. There were always noise (I'd assume cleaners did some work) quite early in the morning. Another issue is that the breakfast time in the morning is until 10am sharp, which is not convenient for people travelling from Europe for leisure. As I understood, there're no alternatives available. We asked a bottle of water and an additional blanked to the room, and it was challenging to get them. Particularly, with the bottle of water, as they refused to put the cost of it on the hotel room, but requested a cash payment. It was a surprise for us.

Stayed there for a night during my KZ trip, the hotel is located at a very comfortable location , the hotel rooms looks like more of heritage room with a few old decor plates and felt really warm, they provided with all the necessity services, and a secured cloak room was also there, I kept my luggage after checkout for almost a day and they were really helpful to store them at their place without any hassle and provided back the same in couple of minutes, They staff here speaks fluent English as well and take extra efforts to help their guest. We recently had a stay at this Swissotel. Given the reputation of the brand, our expectations were naturally set high. However, the reality of our experience fell significantly short of those anticipations. 1. Check-in Procedure: Even with online check-in we were subjected to a 30-minute wait. One of our pre-booked rooms was not ready at the time of arrival. 2. Room's Condition: - A glaring lapse in cleanliness was evident with the state of the bathroom floor near its entrance (photo attached). - The bathroom door's sliding mechanism was faulty and highly inconvenient. - The overall condition of the bathroom indicated it's due for an overhaul and repairs (photos attached). - The discovery of a used ear swab under the table raised significant concerns about the room's preparation and cleanliness (photo attached). - A faulty power outlet in the bathroom added to the growing list of maintenance concerns (photo attached). - The discovery of a dead insect in the drapes clearly points to a continuous lack of attention to detail with the cleaning staff (photo attached). 3. Birthday Cake: Our agreement for a pre-arranged complimentary birthday cake was not only overlooked but was also delivered a day later than promised, despite having multiple conversations and providing evidence of our prior agreement (via the official hotel WhatsApp). 4. Water Bottle Replenishment: The consistent oversight in providing an essential like water, despite multiple request channels, was surprising. The water had to be fetched from the cleaning staff, we had to chase them and ask. None of the other channels, like the official app or the reception, fulfilled our request for the water delivery. 5. Dining: Our anticipation of an à la carte menu was countered by a buffet offering. Being told this was due to hotel occupancy levels feeling unsatisfactory. This went on for both evenings spent at the hotel. Portions of the a la carte menu were available only for room service. 6. Buffet Food Quality: The limited options, particularly for main courses (3), left much to be desired. Our experience with the freshly prepared pasta was particularly disappointing. It was watery, bland, disgusting. You could get better pasta at an office canteen. We have travelled quite a big part of the world and this buffet was easily the worst we have ever had. Both taste and variety were not worth the price. And we were forced into it by being denied the a la carte option. The hotel is above capacity - great, but we paid for the same service as if it weren't, right? Not OUR problem. 7. Breakfast Experience: The overall offering was lackluster. The variety was uninspiring, especially when compared to even basic 3-star hotels. Stale pastry (croissant from the day before) at a 5* hotel is inexcusable - these are absolute basics. Staff appeared overwhelmed, often forgetting to replenish food and drinks (had to be reminded many times) and struggling to manage guest numbers. Only 2 juice options fo

The room was booked with two bedrooms for 3 adults. The room description indicates that it is 60 sq m , there is a view of mountains and rivers, and the idea should be 3 full beds: 1 double bed and sofa. They arrived at night, gave number 608, it turned out to be not prepared for us, the sofa is not, and only 2 puffs and only a double bed, the sets in the bathroom for 2 people. Stayed here for just one night in April. Service received was fantastic (given I arrived early in the morning) - check in was quick and the staff spoke excellent English. I found the room to be comfortable, very clean and of a good size. I got the impression the hotel is relatively new. It’s around 20-25 minutes from the airport and maybe around 10-15 minutes to the centre of Almaty using Yandex which is very cheap. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I had an 11 hour layover between my flight from Dubai to my flight to Atyrau and was really searching for a hotel near the airport that was convenient and reasonably priced. Grand Hotel Erbil is both of those. I made the booking online with the option to pay on arrival. The booking made provision for a free shuttle pickup from the airport and a very reasonable transfer back the following morning. The hotel confirmed everything by Whatsapp. Contactless payment. Clean room. Clean linen. Friendly and efficient service. I ordered a simple burger and chips via WhatsApp and the food arrived hot and fresh. Minibar is fully stocked and reasonably priced. Their menu is extensive (55 page book) and they cater for everything from a bowl of hummus to platters of meats, cakes, cocktails, etc. For a traveller, this hotel is well worth it. What a disappointing hotel. The service was awful throughout. Whatever the question the answer was always NO! Check in time was 2:00pm. I arrived at noon and asked for an early check in. NO! The room was ready but unless I paid $50 they would not allow early check in. (A different clerk did eventually check me in early) The restaurant closed at 7:00pm for dinner and there was no nearby option. I got take out and just asked for silverware and an empty glass. NO, you may not take to room. Eventually I procured a single fork (still no glass allowed in room. “People steal them”). 30 min later, a knock on the door asking for the fork back! Bar was horribly stocked. Red wine? NO. White Wine? NO. Just beer Breakfast opened at 7am. I arrived at 6:50 and just asked if I could have a coffee while i waited. NO. They ran out of juice, asked for more….wait for it…NO. Power was off several times, once for 2+ hours. Windows don’t open so it became very stuffy. Room was not cleaned one day. I asked just for fresh towels. I had to bring my used ones down to the front desk, where they counted them to be replaced. I guess their guests steal towels too! On checkout I asked politely if I could speak to the manager. “No manager here”. That kinda sums up the whole stay. Many, many better options here and this should never be part of IHG with the terrible service

Rather simple and quite clean structure, located not far from the center of Almaty. My room was quite spacious and clean, equipped with a balcony, bathroom with shower, courtesy set, in particular I found the bed very comfortable. Overall it is a good structure, in my opinion not yet accustomed to welcoming tourists from all over the world. Breakfast and language barriers (only one receptionist out of four I've had to deal with spoke English) to be improved. For the rest, I would recommend it.

Good hotel in fairly good location. Room is pretty good size. The windows open. The air conditioning works. They give ample free water. Friendly staff. The breakfast is pretty good, I would say that they could add more vegetables and some greens. Otherwise, fine. The shower is good, good water flow. The temperature can be a bit of time to regulate. There could be a sign from the main street alerting people that the hotel is there. All in all, a good experience.

Even the photo did not do, took a video that it is impossible to download .... Command, quick choice of the hotel, chose this - close to the office, next park)))) These are the only advantages of this hotel! Furniture, plumbing old, ripped, The exit to the balcony and the whole view to the park is lost because of the plaster ... Girls on the respiratory can't help, in the morning the feather broke, nothing did, waited 20 minutes and horns for breakfast and then work with unsuspension hair. Breakfast is a normal Swedish table, no fruit, little dishes. I would have made a continental breakfast then. I had a feeling that I got into a boardroom for the elderly, there was a lot of them there for some reason. Next time I will never stop there.

New hotel, clean rooms, but service is zero. There have been so many unforgiving situations in 2 days that no one has apologized for. The child came on the glass near the pool. The glass was broken the night before, but the fragments were not removed. The coffee machine hasn't worked in the restaurant since morning! Nobody knows why and when they're fixed. Instead of vegetarian salad, I got a Caesar salad. And the compote or lemonade to the children didn't bring, although I resembled it 3 times. Then it turned out that they were not prepared because they were not cooked. Like the eggs for the soup from the menu, they were not cooked. The recipe books are not available because 'not yet'. The beach of the hotel is dirty, everywhere garbage and cucumbers, packages from under chips, although we come from the morning ... We will rest another week, probably, there will be something to tell!

The hotel has only two pluses - this view from the window on pine and delicious coffee from the coffee maker (the capsule Lavazza). I had booked and paid three nights in this hotel, although I stayed there only two nights - an additional night was booked only for early accommodation, my plane arrived in Almaty very early and wanted to settle at once. Breakfasts in this hotel are delivered to the room as it is a mini hotel and they have no separate breakfast room. For breakfast, I have been offered for the choice of cache and toast or eggs and cut cucumber. Of the three paid breakfasts I was fed only one. On the day of the arrival I didn't bring it, although the order was accepted, on the second day did not accept the order (it turns out, breakfast had to be ordered the day before on the respiratory, which no one warned). My room was on the third floor and I asked to bring my suitcase to the room, the suitcase had to wait for forty minutes. This hotel has absolutely unprofessional staff, they have no experience in hotels and it is noticeable. Moreover, they absolutely care whether the guests will remain satisfied with their service. I asked for a return of the breakfast that the staff promised me on the resepshne - they said they would contact the service provider and make a return. But then the refusal came. That is, they said it just so to get rid of it. Another of the downsides: the hotel asks for a deposit at check-in, which is then returned on the day of departure in case of non-corruption of property in the room. No hotel in the world does that. Bed is comfortable with a hard mattress, but the pillows are inconvenient. Bedding of acceptable quality, bathroom plumbing is good. What a disappointing hotel. The service was awful throughout. Whatever the question the answer was always NO! Check in time was 2:00pm. I arrived at noon and asked for an early check in. NO! The room was ready but unless I paid $50 they would not allow early check in. (A different clerk did eventually check me in early) The restaurant closed at 7:00pm for dinner and there was no nearby option. I got take out and just asked for silverware and an empty glass. NO, you may not take to room. Eventually I procured a single fork (still no glass allowed in room. “People steal them”). 30 min later, a knock on the door asking for the fork back! Bar was horribly stocked. Red wine? NO. White Wine? NO. Just beer Breakfast opened at 7am. I arrived at 6:50 and just asked if I could have a coffee while i waited. NO. They ran out of juice, asked for more….wait for it…NO. Power was off several times, once for 2+ hours. Windows don’t open so it became very stuffy. Room was not cleaned one day. I asked just for fresh towels. I had to bring my used ones down to the front desk, where they counted them to be replaced. I guess their guests steal towels too! On checkout I asked politely if I could speak to the manager. “No manager here”. That kinda sums up the whole stay. Many, many better options here and this should never be part of IHG with the terrible service

In general, the hotel itself is not bad enough, rooms with fresh repair and equipment in them are normal (all there are). All the rest of course quiet horror: When the settlement was not there was a card to open the room! A shame! We were asked if you could open the door to the room and leave you until the tra without the key, you would not go anywhere? :) PERSONAL UPER!!! Next, there was ONLY a towel, ONLY a slipper, etc. , how is it possible when the management sees that the booking is paid for two??? Staff constantly rolling on the elevator, waiting for the elevator in the hotel simply not possible (walking!) In general, attitude to the customer NIKAKOE! In the final and most important and terrible - it is certainly the STRADE in the hotel, stole the BOSE headphones directly from the bag with all the crossovers, noticed it already in the plane when decided to watch the film, but the headphones in the bag were not! Breakfast as well as the food in the hotel - Full of a nut! As a result, they simply regretted that they settled and chose Grand Mildom, no recommendation for future visitors!

Excellent location of the hotel! Gorgeous view from the balcony day and night! Nightingales sing in the morning in April. The hall and entrance group are beautifully stylishly modern. The rooms are not great. A small area, old, but intact furniture, worn carpet, outdated tiles, old towels, with tatters. There is not a single shelf in the wardrobe - there is nowhere to put things, only 2 hangers. Bed linen is clean. There is a kettle, cups, tea and sugar. Water 0.5 is brought daily. Mini bar - I had the whole refrigerator, a colleague - empty. Upon request, I think they will bring. There are only 2 ironing rooms. On the 6th and 7th floors. On the 7th floor, the light is very dim - you stroke almost to the touch. For such a large hotel, it would seem that it is not enough. But for 7 days of stay - I did not stand in line at the ironing board. There are no gyms, saunas, swimming pools. And this is a big minus of the hotel. Breakfasts at the Zina restaurant are very varied and tasty. Kashi, cottage cheese are awesome. There are fresh vegetables, salads, tartlets, etc. There are also serious dishes: manti, meat, baked potatoes. The pastries are mostly delicious. But sometimes they serve pies, samsushki for three or four days. Already oak. Maybe they put them in for the appearance of a larger number. For a change, with frequent business trips, you can stay at this hotel once a year.
