Beautiful modern hotel with great staff right next to the beach. We stayed for one night, which turned out to be their last night of the season, very good value. We used the indoor pool and had it to ourselves. Beautiful rooms and spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Will stay again.

Very nice and modern hotel in Almeria. Easy, fast and pleasant check-in. Very comfortable and spacious room. Spotless clean bathroom. Excellent breakfast. A plus: easy parking in the streets nearby. Highly recommended!

A lovely hotel on the centre of Almeria and within walking distance of the sights. Plenty of bars, cafés and restaurants near by. The hotel itself was beautifully clean and tidy. The breakfasts were very good. A lovely sun deck and swimming / plunge pool.

Avoid , totally in November, absolutely nothing to eat that was edible, a menu system for lunch and evening meals, fish so salty, burgers raw , all dire , the associated dishes were disgusting , there were absolutely no snacks anywhere , to get a drink of water was like a quest . Unless you're Spanish , preferential and racist towards anyone else, the waiters openly ignored us. There were hundreds of Spanish on the Saturday , day of arrival , they had an extensive menu , they left Sunday , as did the food. Everything was closed, the roof terrace, the bar by the street , the Jacuzzi. There is very little to do anywhere except walk . The godsend for food was a Spar in a short distance . They conned me out of £619 , disabled and claustrophobic, they stated they had ground floor rooms with disabled facilities . Wrong they didn't all were suites at an upgrade , so I had no choice . The room was very downgraded , paint peeling , cracked mirrors , worst of all the gardeners jumped over the wall at the bottom of the garden , unannounced abd tidied up I thought they were breaking in . They charged you for just about everything . Don't ever book with LOVEHOLIDAYS, they did absolutely nothing prior and after the holiday to assist and accommodate me in any way , there were NO tour reps , no one you could complain to and sort your problems out. The General Manager was there Thursday , messing around with cutting fruit in the lobby for Christmas , the only day he was there , in the bar was a small container , prawns meats and cheeses , I spoke to the barman this is a change , he stated this happened every day , welk the next day there was nothing , and every day before nothing , token gesture as the General Manager was there. Restaurants in the area exorbitant. If you do want Almeria in that area HOTEL BAHIA and nowhere else .

The breakfast is relatively simple. The hotel does not provide airport pick-up service, and it costs about 17 euros by taxi in fifteen minutes. It's very close to the large shopping center. The hotel helps to call a taxi. It's affordable and quite suitable for business trips.

It's a rather old fashioned, forgettably decorated hotel in a good central spot of Almeria. Because the hotel is situated in a small square surrounded by buildings, the rooms seem to have no special view (mine looked out onto a side street, my friend's onto a wall) and are a little dark (although this is quite normal in Spain). The breakfast buffet was modest but decent. The bed was comfortable, everything worked, I had all I needed, and the staff were generally helpful, but the vibe was fairly dismal. Also the staff seemed to be obsessed with closing windows, and there was no obvious system to stop them laundering the towels every day. No complaints, but I'd probably seek another place next time.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights, to include a ”gala” buffet for St. Valentine's night. (See photo for what was supposed to be included and none of it was.) First, the positives. The hotel is very good, staff welcoming, rooms, amenities, bar areas and relaxation spaces were excellent and a great position by the sea.. Now, the negatives, which centre entirely on the catering arrangements. The canteen, it certainly wasn't what I would describe as a restaurant, on our first night only had a buffet menu. It was very sp**** and the food itself unappetising. We expected a full menu, waiter service etc but not a bit of it. The bar afterwards provided some pleasure after the meal. Breakfast the next morning surprised us by being very good. However, the worst was yet to come! The ”Gala” St. Valentine's buffet the next night was a disaster. We were, in fact, the first to arrive at the canteen at 7:15. We were met with the glass of cava, or should I say a thimble full of cava that didn't even reach half way up the glass. Then we were treated to the hoards of people, including children, who didn't pass for 55+ which was the criteria for attendance. The buffet bore a surprising similarity to the one the previous evening! When we left, the ”special” evening felt anything but, especially when we saw the huge queue gathering at the entrance to the canteen waiting to get in. Again, the bar and live music lifted the mood. Breakfast on Sunday morning. If we thought the previous evening was a disaster, this was to surpass that in its ineptitude. We had to wait to be found a table, difficult given that every on seemed to be full. Eventually we were seated but there was little left of the food, no butter, which didn't matter as there was no bread to put it on either! Also, the queue to have an egg freshly cooked by the only chef on duty, was huge. The staff were fully occupied with clearing tables, trying to get people seats, rather than fill up the food trays. I eventually had some stale white sliced bread for toast and my wife settled for beans and 1/2 tomato. She was unlucky with the bread supply! This is supposed to be a 4 * hotel. They need to seriously look at this aspect of it. It was awful.

We were only staying in Almeria for 1 night on a road trip. You absolutely cannot beat this location. It is right in the middle of everything. It was under a 10 minute walk to the Alcazaba. Parking is in a parking garage about 2 blocks away and it was about $20. The hotel has an elevator. Our room was nice that it had 4 single beds and the bathroom was very modern. I would have rated this hotel as absolutely exceptional if the A/C worked better. That was our only problem - our room was warm. After spending the day walking around in the heat, I could have used a cooler room. In the morning there is a typical breakfast of lunch meats, cheese, fruit & breads.
