I arrived at the hotel and was greeted by a very nice (at the time) young bell boy called Hassan. He took my case to my room and I tipped him 200 TL. During the next 2 weeks he didn't even look me in the eye and was extremely arrogant and rude, I assume due to my sexuality. The place would be better off without him in my opinion, and the opinion of quite a few of the other guests I was staying along side. The Pool Bar staff were all absolutely fantastic , in particular Metin, Resul, Burak, Mehmet, Agit, Berkcant, and anyone else I've forgotten the names off. They were very welcoming, fun, up for a laugh and very caring and attentive. I can not fault them at all. The restaurant and reception staff rarely spoke and seemed disinterested in the guests. The night porter was extremely friendly and always warm and welcoming. The food was very boring and bland and tasteless , I found myself going out to the local bars and restaurants for my meals as I could not bare the food. Watery dry meat type casseroles, luke warm wedges, pasta, and lots of cold meats and salads, very little to eat and enjoy but the local bars and restaurants do a fabulous meal at a fantastic price. The room was okay, a tiny balcony with a couple of chairs, I over looked the back of the hotel, some bins and a dirt track with a load of vehicles parked. The fridge was too loud that i had to un plug it. The shower was okay but with little pressure, the cleaning staff were fantastic in keeping it clean. Very hard mattresses, although very clean bedding. I would not stay here again, and I certainly wouldn't give it a 3 star rating. Spend a little extra and stay at the City Point luxury hotel or another local one and receive better food and service.

This hotel is in a great location right on the beach and a nice walk (10 mins) into Altinkum. Lots of bars, shops, supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Water toys and rides available at an extra cost too. The hotel was very clean. Reception area large with lots of seating. There is wheelchair access via a steep ramp and a small lift inside. However the lift doesn't go to all floors and if you are in reception you would need to go up or down a flight of stairs to access it. It also broke down a couple of times. Corridors to rooms are dated and had stains on carpets but in general were clean. The rooms are a great size with a balcony, be warned that some balconys do not have sea views or views of surrounding area, they actually look into an internal courtyard and at walls. My room had a partial sea view and a view of land full of trees. My room had a fridge, a Hairdryer that was adequate for my needs, a safe (lock I believe was available at an extra cost), extra pillows & blankets and lots of storage. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were fluffy and comfy. Top tip - to lock the door press the button in the middle of the inside door knob and pull the door closed. Took me 2 days to figure this out! The bathroom was quite modern with a very large walk in shower. The bathroom did smell slightly of drains but it wasn't bad enough for me to complain. The electricity couldn't cope with my Straighteners. They would turn on but then off a couple of seconds later. There is air con in the rooms and I wasn't charged extra for it. The WiFi was only available in reception and by the pool. However it wasn't available most mornings. The pool area was situated by the poorly stocked bar. There were no loungers around the pool just tables and chairs for drinkers which wasn't really conducive for swimming. However the beach is just a few steps away where there are lots of wooden sun loungers. Sadly no padding available to put on them and after a while they were uncomfortable. Several sun loungers were broken. Walking into the sea was uncomfortable without shoes on as there are lots of large pebbles. I also noticed a water outlet pipe, this wasn't a sewer but for surface water drainage. The sea was clear until it rained. For the next 3 days, due to the water run off from a down pour, the sea was cloudy. I went all inclusive. The cold buffet was the same everyday. The hot buffet consisted of 6 dishes and in general were chips, rice/bulgar, warm breads, pasta, chicken nuggets and a meat dish. Nothing was labelled. It did get a bit boring to be honest. None of the waiting staff appeared to speak English and couldn't answer my questions (eg what is the soup made from etc). The entertainment wasn't great and not enough room around the pool area for all guests to sit. As always in Turkey there are lots of stray cats and dogs. They weren't an issue and were friendly. I fed them everyday. Would I stay here again? Probably but not enough vegetarian food for

We arrived very late at night so very tired after a long travel, we were met with Hassan the bell boy who directed us to our rooms, immediately I thought the place was a hostel of some sort as it was very run down with stained carpets leading to rooms, Hassan was very forward in asking for a tip showing us a five pound note he had in his phone case, I showed him the door for being rude, the next day we went for breakfast, lunch and dinner hoping that it would get better 😒 there were no labels to identify the food or to say what it was, or to warn against allergies, the salad bar was good if that's all you wanted to eat, the restaurant staff were miserable all the time, we spent money to eat outside the hotel, the pool staff were amazing and so friendly and happy all the time, entertainment was poor and only catered for Turkish guests, location was good as it is right on the beach, hotel needs a revamp throughout and a change of restaurant staff and chef as he does not cater for British guests.

Me and my mum came to stay at this hotel for 9 nights. We arrived in the early hours of the following morning and were given our wristbands and our key and shown to our room. There were several negative points that fell below our expectations at this hotel. The first being the food in the restaurant was very basic and there wasn't a very varied choice throughout our stay. For example we had chicken almost every night as we couldn't find anything else we liked. We also expected there to be croissants at breakfast and for there to be ice cream provided but there wasn't. The men working in the restaurant didn't speak much English which we found a bit frustrating. Secondly there was WiFi at the hotel but it was not available in the rooms and could only be used in the reception/lobby area and it kept losing and regaining connection. There were plenty of sunbeds on the private beach but quite a few of them were wooden and very uncomfortable to lay on without having mats on them and just a towel and some were broken and unusable. Also whilst we are away we like to book on at least a couple of trips from the hotel, but apart from being able to book onto a boat trip quite easily, we had to figure out for ourselves how to book anything else to do outside the hotel for example, going to the ancient ruins or going on the quad bike trip etc unless you went to where the local shops or taxi ranks were which were fairly nearby. Lastly there was a lack of entertainment at this hotel as there were no animation team and the entertainment that there was wasn't on till 9pm and it was mainly people singing in a foreign language or playing the saxophone which we weren't really interested in. I would have preferred to watch some turkish dancing instead. There were a few good points that exceeded our expectations about staying at this hotel which were; our room was clean and spacious, the hotel is in a great location with a private beach and an outside pool and near some local tourist shops which go all along the seafront with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. There was the option to take part in some watersports on the beach such as riding a jetski and going on various speedboat activities. I wanted to give a special mention to a lovely man that worked at this hotel called Asif who is a credit to the hotel team and went above and beyond to help the guests to enjoy their stay. In conclusion I would recommend this hotel if you want a hot and relaxing time on the beach without the added extras but not if you expect a bit more from your holiday.

Absolutely love the TUNTAS HOTEL. our second visit this year. Management and staff are brilliant. And cannot do enough to help you if you are happy and polite with them as they work very hard. They will always smile and help you as much as they can. The restaurant staff are fantastic. My husband is partly disabled. They couldn’t do enough for us. Carrying his food to the table getting cold drinks or tea for us. Even taking the coffee up to the pool area for us after eating. Thank you so much boys. Then the bar staff again brill always a wave and a shout off Metin and his boys brilliant. The evening bar staff with Mehmet and his boys. Fantastic always see us coming and a drink put on our table for us. Checking to see if we need another drink later. Wouldn’t have been without them fantastic boys. The housekeepers well what can I say. Nilgun always cleaned our room, absolutely spotless always clean towels everyday Flowers put in room simply the best. The reception staff and bell boys always good morning or good evening when you pass. If you enquired about anything they’d help you straight away. All the housekeepers were always washing the floors and cleaning windows in the lounge area last but not least our beach boys brill again always there with a big smile to help you. And of course the entertainment We loved it yes it’s mostly Turkish music as 95% of the guests are Turkish. But there was English music played in the day and also some nights. Met many lively turkish people who would always come to talk and have a laugh with us. Also met our great friends of many years from Holland. All I all can’t wait to be back there next year. Well done TUNTAS xxx

Where do I start….. if you are English don’t bother with this hotel…. This is where the Turkish spend their holidays…. Because of this everything is catered for them and no other nationality… food…. The same everyday… we paid extra for all inclusive and I can’t see why. All Turkish food Breakfast/lunch/dinner. Drinks…. A small bar by the pool that has 4 spirits and one lager for all inclusive guests… anything else you have to pay for….. evening entertainment is only Turkish music… having a drink in the evening we feel as though we shouldn’t be there….. staff…. All miserable and don’t want to be there…. This hotel is ok for a base but not much more than that… certainly not worth the money we paid….. I went to Bodrum before and the people are so much nicer… I love Turkey but this resort/hotel is not the experience you would want for your first time to Turkey…. So if you are a family looking for a family friendly hotel with lots of things to do then go somewhere else….
