Reviews of Mercure Kangaroo Island Lodge

The quality of this hotel is very poor for the price. The furnishings and bathroom are very old and have a lot of damage. We spent 2 nights there, but on the 2nd day there was no room service, not even the trash can was emptied. The breakfast was not good either. For 30 AUD there was no fruit, salad or cheese. Also the distance to restaurants is too big

Excellent location, lovely reception, room had pretty much everything one needed on a family trip. A working Telephone and effective AC could have improved our stay.

Great place to stay with family

It locates at American River island, ~40min driving from ferry terminal. The receptionist ladies who checked in for us and checked out for us were so friendly and nice. They made us very welcome. The room was very spacious, and faced to the river. Amazing view. Although it was near the street, the room was quite during my stay. No noises heard at that time. The bed was comforty and large. The bathroom was a bit small than what i thought. But it is okay. All facilities are included. The room was provided with microwave/cutley... Also they provide me with complimentary a bottle of wine, biscuits, potato chips and cookies. So glad that we did not need starving until next day (as we came late and no restaurant was open on KI) The breakfast was good, better food and coffee than other Cafe outside. The lady Yuki was very nice and friendly We definitely will come back again and recommend to other friends of mine.

Everything good

The room is quite old, and the corners of the floor are not very clean. The four stars are because there are indeed supporting services such as swimming pools, but the Australian star rating is downgraded to that of China... The service is quite good, but there is obviously not enough staff during the holiday, and the breakfast service is a bit slow. The breakfast is average, and you can choose a single item from the fixed menu. I don't want to criticize anything due to the extremely limited resources on Kangaroo Island~ Overall, I am satisfied, but I feel that it can only be regarded as a domestic three-star standard. Don't choose this place if you want a small luxury tour.

Mercure is a hotel group I often book with, and the service quality is the same no matter where Mercure is. Mercure on Kangaroo Island, the warm smile and expression of the lady at the front desk make you comfortable and considerate as soon as you enter. Because the weather on the island changes greatly, it is cool in the morning and evening, hot at noon, and the temperature drops sharply at night, so the bathroom is equipped with a heater, and the air conditioner in the room is turned on, so it does not feel gloomy at all. The front of the hotel faces east, and you can see the sunrise in the morning. It is indeed a good location at the right time.

Room facilities are average. Don't expect too much on the island. The hotel environment is very good and the restaurant food is great!

The environment is quiet and the facilities are complete.
