This hotel was the worst I have stayed in for a long time.not only was it dirty and not taken care of, but they charged me twice on my debit card. I spoke to 2 different people,one being the Manager who said they only charged me once. It has posted twice, so I had to go to my bank and file a dispute to get my money. Not only did I have to get a new debit card because of the overpayment but it could take 30 to 90 days to get my $318.93 back. I can’t believe this motel was so expensive

For the people driving thru Ames Iowa looking for a place to rest your head. Drive by the Super 8 hotel unless you want to share your stay with a room full of maggots. Let me explain we got in late and looked for a hotel a the super 8 sign caught our eye so we pulled in and they had rooms available there where other hotels around the Super 8 but they where all occupied and we thought they was different. Well we found out why the next morning when we got up there where hundreds of LIVE maggots crawling all over the floor totally disgusting went down to the front seat and shared the news with the manager who n duty and even took him up to the room and shown him the filth he really didn’t really have any empathy just excuses he stated he will absolutely have the general manager call me right away and to this day he still has not returned my call I believe this hotel and Wyndham Corporate does not care about the health or safety of anyone that stays at there hotel

Overall it was a nice enough place to rest my head. Front desk guy was nice. It is an older place. The tub/shower faucet control was a little funky to adjust the water temperature. There was some kind of permanent residue/discoloration. The bedspreads didn't look especially clean, which made me worry about the sheets and such, but I survived. The TV was nice enough. The AC worked. There wasn't much for breakfast but there were some options. Would be nice to have some USB charging ports, but there were electrical outlets built into the bedside lamps, so I just plugged in the converter I brought with me. Again, just staying for a night to sleep and that happened. If you are looking for luxury, there are other options in the area for $300+. Even if I could afford that, why? The systems need to be real-time synched. After I made the reservation, I got a text to pre-register....car info, credit card, etc. When I arrived, I was asked for the same information. I also got a text to do a review after I checked out online. I did that. Then I got an e-mail to complete a survey (this one). I'm happy to share, but multiple times is a little much. Just synch your systems.

Bedbugs! Staff not concerned, breakfast is microwave oatmeal, "Little Debbie" pastries, tiny oranges. Franchise appears to be family owned, looks like no money is reinvested back into the property. Staff doesn't seem concerned when I reported bedbugs!

Do not say here! Manager is a liar. We did not stay in our room. We went to another motel. Mattress was yellow. Bathroom smelled of strong urine. Did first review Manager to me to call him he would reimburse me then acted like he didn’t see me in his reservation. Never did reimburse me. False Advertising pictures do not look like motel. I travel for my work even this was supposed to be for enter the most disgusting place I ever had seen .

Staff was nice. Location good. Smelled of smoke everywhere. Also the bedding blankets were so old, torn, threadbare and stained.. you didn't even want to touch them. Carpet was stained throughout. Only there one night so was ok.. but made you not want to touch anything or be in the room. Hope they put some money into cleaning the place up.

Night attendant was very patient & friendly but the building is really old and things are falling apart. Bed was sagging & needs an upgrade. Hair Dryer & toilet seat were broken. Back entrance was not secure (door didn’t lock) & 2 homeless people living in their car were grilling by the back door. I know you get what you pay for but at $120/night it is not worth it.

Management and staff are helpful and kind. Business rates are fantastic. Beds are better than the one i have at home. Comfortable and safe stay. Breakfast doesn't have a large variety but there is a great pancake house next door.

Decent motel, breakfast was really not great but was ok. Check in was good, staff seemed friendly. Location was great for our particular trip. Handicap is definitely a little lacking but the staff helped with room accommodations.

Moldy AC, not clean, old, Strange people wandering around like they were housing homeless people. Run down but still expensive. The place was a dump. Sheets were clean but the bed was uncomfortable and very old.
