We requested our Travel Agent to book us a 4 star hotel in Amman. Our biggest mistake was that, we blindly followed his recommendation. When we reached our hotel it was clear that it was not what we were expecting. It seemed like a budget hotel but we had paid in full and didn’t know anywhere else to go at 10:30 at night. We were given a ‘suite’ with two bedrooms and a bathroom and toilet. The rooms and the furniture looked tired and run down. We immediately found out that the toilet seat in one of the toilets was broken. We complained about it but it was only fixed a day before we left. So four adults were using one bathroom! Now here comes the real deal about this hotel which we realised as we spent more time in it. The rooms were filthy, there was dirt everywhere. The furniture was covered in dust. The comforter had some kind of stains (we only realised it on the last day). There was fungus in the bathroom. Toilet was chipped. Towels were ripped. Walls were dirty. There was WiFi for only 1 night out of the three (some complaint about the server being down). The TV didn’t work. Phone didn’t work but they did replace it. There was a kitchenette but no utensils provided. We asked for some, so they brought a microwave. It has been the worst experience of my life and it made our stay in Jordan a very unpleasant one. Please avoid this accommodation at any cost!
