Since I had a lot of luggage, I looked for a place that was closest to my destination and had the best price, and the room was exactly as pictured on the app.

we booked the garden apartments as there was small kitchen for a friend who had coeliac disease so it’s handy to have. The apartments were clean and well appointed some signs of wear and tear but other than it was a good value place to stay in the centre of Amsterdam. wewe checked in fine and obviously paid the €300 security deposit, as we checked out on the 31st of May and confirmed the check out online and to the hotel where the keys needed to be handed back. I’m still waiting for the security deposit to drop into my bank account. This is a poor service as I’ve tried to contact the Hotel several times via email and telephone but I’ve not been successful. Please be wary if of the security deposit because I’m still waiting for mine!

Some of the staff especially a man on the day we checked out in front of my daughter tried to get in my face and intimidate me with physical actions. Puffing his chest out getting in my space trying to make me feel terrible in front of my child. He tried to charge 25 euro for two bowels of cornflakes which we didn’t eat in the breakfast bar as we had missed the time. We had breakfast twice and offered to pay for this as we felt 25 euro for cornflakes was a bit steep. He flat out refused to take my money and again threatened police or worse. I asked to speak with the manager again this was refused. Really bad experience and I have followed up with legal advice on this. Total bill Would have been 75 euro all in for 2 days of minimum breakfast which I would one no issues paying but 25 euro was too much and no negotiation no talking just the staff member acting like a bully.

If this is what you are looking for in your vacation: - rats crawling in floor slabs - impressingly sour reception staff - walls made of paper? so you can hear a pen drop 2 levels above, and certainly the construction work going on during the weekend - mold - staff welcoming you to a room they have heated up to 30+ degrees - extensive smoking outside your windows- your only source for air Then you have certainly come to the right place - although you will pay hansomly to get your room. Good luck!

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL OR THE APARTMENTS!!!! We arrived at the check in and given our room key, then had to walk 10 minutes down the road to get to our apartment. Once arriving at our apartment, we walked in and there were still 2 cleaners in the room. They seemed to be very chaotic and throwing stuff around and asked us to wait outside for 5 minutes. Once they gave us the green light to go inside. Stepping into the apartment, you got hit with an awful smell. The stairs were damaged and dirty. The floor in the rooms looked as though they had been collecting dust for months, maybe even years. Intertwined in the dust, under the bed, were dirty socks (around 8 of them to be exact), gel, food wrappers and dirty tissues. This is DISGUSTING. After seeing a state I have never once seen before in an apartment/hotel, I decided to look around more. Looking in the bathroom, there was mould on the walls and random stains in the shower. The bin in the kitchen was falling apart and we found that this is where the revolting smell was coming from. After removing the bin liner, there was mouldy food and empty food wrappers underneath. I immediately called the receptionist and explained what was discovered. She apologised but also responded in a way that suggests that these complaints happen a lot. I was then asked to walk back to the check in to ‘sort this out’. The lack of attentiveness was appalling, It felt as though she didn’t care at all. She mentioned she spoke to the manager, however, the manager never came out to speak about the situation, nor did they apologise. Truly the WORST experience ever. Please please please do not book this hotel unless you want an illness or bedbugs.

Stayed here for 3 nights from 8/8/26-8/11/26 and the room was so filthy I felt as though I couldn’t take my shoes off to walk around. There were stains on the carpet, dust everywhere, stains on the walls. We were placed in a garden room, which would have been fine except our window didn’t have a screen, so we did not feel comfortable sleeping with the window open and there is no AC. Additionally, people are smoking on the patio in the garden at all hours, so the smoke is going straight into our room. You could hear EVERYTHING happening outside the window. Despite checking thoroughly for bed bugs, both my husband and I were bitten and now have to go through the hassle of cleaning all of our belongings, suitcases, etc. we now see there are MULTIPLE reports of bed bugs and wish we had stayed elsewhere. Disgusting to be honest. This needs to be remedied. We want at least a partial refund for the hassle, effort, and money spent to ensure we don’t travel with bed bugs and bring them into our home.

My niece and I stayed at the Hotel Allure April 21-24. The staff were very nice and the hotel is conveniently located. BUT, my niece and I discovered that they have had an infestation of bedbugs since 2024, and have not fixed this problem? Absolutely unacceptable and preventable! Both my niece and I are bitten and now we must clean and disinfect everything in our own homes, plus dealing with the bites. Do NOT stay at this hotel right now.

I was looking to take my mum to Amsterdam and found this to be just the place for couple of quiet and cosy nights. Room was clean and tidy, I loved that we had our desk and kettle with essentials provided for us. Reception staff was very kind and helpful. We didn't spend much time apart from resting and sleeping and it was a perfect option for us as we explored the (heart of) town that was 30 mins by walk from the hotel. Hotel is affordable compared to other prices that can be found closer to central station, however one of the main canals was 5 mins walk from the hotel which was a pleasure to experience especially in warmer months when you don't have to worry about crazy rain attacks.

I had beg bugs in room 205. It took me a while to realise this as I didn't expect it at all! And because I was very busy and distracted with a work conference, and initially thought they were gnat bites or something. But after every night I'd have more bites on my hands, shoulders, arms and back. On the 4th day I reported this, and this is the point where I can either excuse the hotel as one of those rare events, or make you guys aware of a negligent place. Unfortunately, I'm going for the latter. They initially dismissed it it as just mosquito bites. So I explained that I've been bitten by both, and this was clearly bedbugs. I also pointed out that there were doctors in my conference who confirmed it was bedbugs. They then provisionally offered me a day's refund, which they later retracted. I asked for them to change my room. They refused. I didn't have the time, especially with the conference ongoing, to change hotels. I at least asked for bags to seal up my clothes so I didn't carry the bedbugs home, or they wouldn't spread when I got home. They didn't even provide this! On the last day, I thought they would give me a refund for most of my 6 day stay, given it had been miserable, with a lot of pain and itching (I had about 30 bites by this point). They refused to give me any refund, but said they'd be in touch with me 3 days later to update me on the exterminator results, and possibly refund me then. They never contacted me. I feel very sorry for the next person who has room 205, and hope they don't take too long to deal with this. I'm happy to provide photo proof of the various bites I received so you can judge for yourself (though I'm certain it was bedbugs). Aside from this, the room was very run down and stained (see photos), with a light that half worked, and a bed board that had come loose. And the wifi kept failing. The worst place I've visited for over 100 Euros a night.

Me and my wife stayed at Hotel Allure in Amsterdam from 27. - 30. May 2024 and were highly disappointed with our experience. Despite the calm location and proximity to the city center, several issues made my stay quite unpleasant. Firstly, we encountered bed bugs, which is absolutely unacceptable for any hotel. My wife got bitten almost 30 times. We then could change the room for our last night, but she got another 3 bites. This not only caused discomfort but also raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the establishment. The carpets in the room were another major issue. They were filthy and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages. In fact, they were so dirty that they could be described as a "cum rag," which is a shocking and disgusting state for any hotel room. Additionally, parts of our first room were incredibly dusty. It was clear that the cleaning staff had not done their job properly, as surfaces were covered in a noticeable layer of dust. Given these problems, the rather high price of the hotel is completely unjustified. I expected much better for the cost. A (partly) refund would be appreciated. While the location of Hotel Allure is rather calm and still conveniently close to the center, this alone does not compensate for the severe cleanliness and hygiene issues. I would not recommend staying here until these problems are addressed. And by that I mean some renovations including removing the carpets.

My experience at the Allure hotel in Amsterdam was overall quite unfortunate. From the moment we arrived, we were informed that the elevator was not working, which forced us to carry our heavy suitcases up uncomfortable stairs. Despite staying there for four days, the elevator was never repaired. Upon entering the room, we found a huge spider on the wall. We immediately informed the reception and the receptionist eliminated it with a vacuum cleaner. However, when we were about to go to bed, we noticed that the sheets and pillows were dirty. Although they were changed, we felt uncomfortable and skeptical. The next day, upon returning to our room, we found another spider on the ceiling. This time, the spider hid in the lamp and the hotel staff did not provide us with any solution. We slept that night with the spider as our companion. In addition to these problems, the room had a red carpet and a generally dirty appearance. There was also a hole in the wall. It is frustrating to me that despite paying a considerable amount for the room, no measures were taken to solve the problems that arose. I understand that unforeseen issues can arise, but my annoyance lies in the fact that nobody cared to try and solve the problems and provide us with a satisfactory experience. Frankly, I expected better service and a room that matched the qualities offered in a hotel of this level.

The hotel is very basic, although clean, but the breakfast is extremely meager and very expensive. It's not worth it, and the very serious girl told us that they only bring out three pastries every half hour.

Positive: Very close to tram/metro and supermarket. The less positive: Very worn, carpets not cleaned, dust on the countertops, no daily cleaning other than a towel change, the elevator was broken and seemed to have been in this condition for a while. The staircase is very narrow and steep, making it difficult to carry suitcases. The window wouldn't close, and there's no power outlet in the bathroom. The shower stall is very narrow. The room facing the street is extremely noisy, which should be taken into account. For the price, I would have at least expected cleanliness.

We spent 4 days in Amsterdam... Stay at the Allure hotel, a small but comfortable hotel both because it is close to the city center and because of its proximity to the tram stop and the metro. The rooms are small but comfortable, a nice idea to have a kettle in the room to drink a cup of tea and relax after a busy day..comfortable beds, clean bathroom, friendly staff..
