Euphemia Budget Old City Canal Zone

Catastrophic rooms. We went with 3 couples this weekend of 9/12/2023. In room 37 (that of 4); • The beds were not made. • No towels (not rated) • Almost military bed • very little lighting • no soap/shampoo in the showers • limited hygiene • The heating did not work In room 38 (that of 2); • The bed was terribly dirty, i.e. hair on the bed, under the covers as well as on top. Tips of nails (???) on the bed. • The shower constantly changes temperature (both freezing and boiling) • Mold in a corner of the ceiling —- In relation to reception, we asked for a deposit in LIQUID (€160) for 2 nights, 6 people. The deposit is noted but nothing in terms of how to pay it. Positive thing: On the last day, we had to check out the rooms by 10:00 a.m. Our train was scheduled for 8:40 p.m. so we wanted to wander around this city one last day and this hotel was able to store our luggage without any problem.

We took a double room and a 4 person room. Hygiene was very poor (hair in the bed, pieces of nails). The water in the showers constantly changed temperature, no towels in the room for 4 people except this was not notified when booking. Mold in the 2-person room near the window and a strong smell of humidity. Quite bad experience, the strict minimum of hygiene is not respected.

The location of this hostel is very good, and I say hostel because I think it is closer to the concept of a hostel than a hotel, towels to pay, hairdryer to pay, beds unmade, the only thing is that you can choose a room with a private bathroom but oh well Considering Amsterdam prices, it is a very good compromise if the quote is low.

I booked two rooms at the hotel. Upon arrival, one had air conditioning and the other did not. It was very hot, unbearable to stay in the room without air conditioning. The receptionist was extremely rude. The cost of the hotel is very high for what it offers. Simple bathroom, no space, with curtain, ugly and unpainted room. Precarious facilities. I do not recommend.

Stairs impossible to deal with heavy luggage, there is no lift. We had a room with a private bathroom, In 4g the towels were never changed or folded, not even made the bed. Clean bathroom and room. Little space to store clothes. But the location is good

Poor hygiene of the rooms, little more than a hostel, the stay lasted three nights, but no one ever made up the room, non-existent wardrobe. Bath products, a small soap and two towels, convenient as a location, but only that

Top notch hostel. Sanitary hygiene and impeccable showers. Recently renovated. Pleasant staff. Easy to find. If we have to find a small defect, the soundproofing is not great, but does not prevent you from sleeping.
