Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam

This hotel is deceptive; the photos are misleading. The room was tiny and the facilities were really old. The lobby is a long walk from the room elevators, and the public areas on the room floors are incredibly dated. For over 3000 a night with breakfast, it's absolutely not worth it. The room's cleanliness was also poor; the nightstands were covered in dust. While there was a good variety at breakfast, the quality was very low. There was only one person making omelets to order, so you had to queue up, and the plastic placemats felt really cheap. I booked four nights two months in advance, only to see the total price drop by over 2000 a week before check-in. And despite that, I was still given a terrible room that looked nothing like the pictures.

The hotel's location is excellent, right by the square and Queen's Department Store. I highly recommend it; getting around is super convenient. The staff were all very friendly and helpful (except for a few in the restaurant who seemed to be from Southeast Asia; they spoke to you as if they were scolding you, and their attitude was quite rude, which really detracted from the overall staff image). Breakfast was quite plentiful, and the room size was decent and quiet. However, due to the layout, you could only fully open one large suitcase without it getting in the way of walking.

On a two-day, one-night whirlwind trip from Paris to Amsterdam, I chose this hotel right by Dam Square. The location is fantastic! It's a 10-minute walk from the train station (we didn't have luggage, so it was quick and easy), and it's super close to both the canal district and tram stops. Plus, the guy at the front desk was really handsome and super friendly. I was also very happy with the room's facilities and amenities. I'd definitely pick this place again next time I visit!

The hotel has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, bright, and meticulously clean. Breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, suitable for all ages, and the food is delicious.
