Unique Experience: Staying on a houseboat provides a unique and memorable experience, allowing guests to enjoy views of the canal from cozy and well-organized rooms. It's a perfect setting for those looking for something different, providing a sense of privacy while being on the water.

We stayed in New Lake Studio C, which is a new addition to the little Amstel company and is little out the way of the city. However it was absolutely perfect! The best customer service I have ever experienced- Andrew was incredible and truly there for anything we could need and answered all our questions so patiently. The actual apartment was gorgeous and had coffee, tea and a few other lovely amenities. It came with free bikes and bike locks which we loved using and was all in all the most amazing stay. Absolutely perfect and could not recommend New Lake and this company more if I tried.

Nice experience It was an experience for sure to stay there. If you have a bit of mobility issue you may struggle to get over steps on entry. Eco friendly place, very clean and very comfy bed. Because we both on bigger size it was a bit struggle to pass each other, it is small. Would be nice to have brighter light in bathroom, can't see if you doing makeup. To get in was a challenge, have to ask young people for help how to use Nuki app to lock and unlock the doors. I would never got in and out on my own. Walk to centre on if you fit, otherwise bus, tram or metro is easy enough. Only wish for good weather, we have rain most of the time.

Was a fun stay for two nights. Wouldn’t want to stay longer as room was very small. Also have to bring luggage down a ramp and up and over a set of three or four stairs to get to the houseboat. Pack light!

Amazing little gem! We would definitely stay again. It is definitely out of the city bustle but accessible by tram and walking.

This is a review for Houseboat next to Amstel (as mentioned in this listing for its sister boat Houseboat Little Amstel). The location is 15 minutes to just about everything with great non-touristy restaurants, bakeries, and a grocery just around the corner. Amstel Hotel is just across the bridge and has a lovely high tea. The massage bed was a bonus! Very spacious and comfortable, even in the dead of winter we were warm once we understood the excellent heating system. The bathroom is spacious and the shower was roomy with lots of hot water. Big central closet in the hallway with lots of shelves and two hanging areas, which helped keep the rooms tidy. Lots of windows and light with very effective blackout blinds. Two TVs to keep the family happy on a rainy day. Very clean and I believe it was recently painted. The kitchen has a small set of dishes, set of silverware, a few glasses, microwave oven, and spacious clean refrigerator. Having stayed on boats before, this one was quieter and stiller than most, as long as you are not a light sleeper you will have an excellent night's rest. The outdoor decks are amazing and furnished well, and I bet they are beautiful in the spring as there are plants everywhere (we were there over New Years). It was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 teens and could even hold an additional 2 people for an additional fee by using a murphy bed in the main living room. Don't hesitate to visit Amsterdam in the winter, bundle up and enjoy the city's light festival and other holiday festivities and know you'll have a cozy place to go home to every night!

Great little hideaway in the most beautiful city..even though it rained 90% of our time there! The only thin the rain stopped was us enjoting the floating balcony! Everything was perfect, bed so comfy and the view...wow! Andrew provided us with all the information we needed to have a great few nights. The houseboat is tiny but has everything you need. Easy access to trams to take you to city and it's so peaceful you would hardly think you were in amsterdam. Takes about 25 minutes to walk into centre but this takes you through alot of squares, with plenty going on. Will definetly be going back in the summer.

The experience of sitting out on the patio at night with a beautiful view of the canal was lovely but we don't believe that the cost of the room - $320.00 CAD - was worth it. We appreciated the assistance we received from Andrew.
