Self check-in and check-out are available. But there was also a staff member sitting there during working hours. The surrounding environment is good. You can see it from the subway. Opposite is a home theater. There is a lidl next to the commercial street.

Super hotel! Amazing location for bars/clubs! Also very close to various supermarkets. The hotel staff are banter and always able to help with 24/7 availability! Very clean room and towels changes daily! 100/10 would recommend.

My family and I stayed at the Hotel Clemens in March 2022. The stairs were definitely a shock when we arrived, especially with the exhaustion of our redeye flight. You ring the bell, the buzz you in, and you are met with a WALL of stairs that at first seem endless. We all burst out laughing but boy oh boy, they were not easy. Of course, this is par for the course in Amsterdam, and we understood that; it gave us a more local experience than we’d had staying at a larger hotel with wide corridors, a real lobby, and elevators. The staff helped with the our luggage, which was very appreciated. They were super friendly. The location was fabulous; we walked everywhere. Unfortunately, there was also a lot of construction nearby, which was noisy and made some of our walks a little awkward on account of having to cross the street multiple times due to sidewalk closures. The room was SO tiny though. I mean it was functional, there was always hot water in the (likewise TINY) shower, and it got an amazing amount of natural light, but wow, it was really, really tight. Breakfast was fine, though sometimes it took them a while to restock the more popular bread items, and the only yogurt they had most mornings was a very runny plain yogurt in small glass pitchers; individual fruit yogurts were only offered one morning. Overall good if you can get it for under $175/night, which we did. Anything more is way overpriced for the steep climb to tiny rooms.

The location is really very good, convenient from anywhere, the hotel is small, but understandable, the location in the city center, everything is worth it, there is a chance to come to the Netherlands again, it is really a man ’s paradise

I would like to bring everyone's attention to avoid this *hotel*at all costs, we stayed there on the 18th of February! Staff where nice, but at night I used to wake up itching with blood stains on the bed, and nothing on my girlfriend, I woke up 3 times full of bitemarks then I had enough I knew there was something biting me in the room! Me and my girlfriend checked the room properly for what was biting me in the night and causing me all this itching! And we found the room was an I festation of bedbugs! I told my girlfriend to start packing our stuff while I ran downstairs without a shirt and a frame I pulled off the room full of bedbugs and showed it to reception, he was very shocked and saw me in shock and saw all my bite marks too, he called the manager because the manager was off duty at around 8.30pm, and the receptionist explained to him the situation, the manager offered us free breakfast for the next day, I said is this a joke, your guest has been bitten by bed bugs and my hands are swelling up and you offer me a free breakfast, he couldn't change us the room either because the hotel was fully booked, I requested the money back and they didn't cooperate, they said you can leave if you don't want to stay in that room and we will give you *your money* for the following days you booked to find another hotel. Is this a joke? What kind of guest service is this! This was the worst experience I had in my life in a hotel, and I'm honeslty writing this review 5 days after because I still have bitemarks from them, it's a nightmare!
