We were going to go to the largest flea market in MN. Annandale Flea Market and make it an antiquing weekend. We stopped at a County Inn in Buffalo to get a room,they were full. She suggested the Thayer. We called, the person answering the phone( we later found out Amy) wanted us to book on line. We told her we had no way to do it, she’s on the phone could she book us now? She got very rude! The guest service person at Country Inn heard her hang up on us and booked our room on line for us. We then got to the hotel. Amazing! Matt was our server and bartender,he was great! The outdoor patio and music just added to the charm. The food was Amazing! When I confronted Amy on her attitude she only retaliated. This person should NOT be in the hospitality business! I don’t see how she can hold this job! I have owned and operated restaurants and catering businesses and would never allow these actions in my properties. I would have totally given it 5 stars if not for Amy. My suggestion, check to see if Amy is working before you go!

Very old hotel, needs repair and update (historically old - fine) but this place is a disappointment beyond words! No handicap accessibility, we could not get refund, its a policy in place to keep your money, so unless you like old creepy places to stay, do not stay there. The owner was very rude to us, the rooms are not as clean as they claim, and would not recommend this hotel to anyone I know. All rooms have window AC and lots of noise from outside, from the railway, to the bands playing outside. We had a reservation on the 2nd of July, so the eatery was busy and bands at both sides of the hotel, and you could hear loud noise all night long. Well we were so disappointed that we just walked out and drove home. This hotel is by far the worst place we have ever in our 40 years of marriage ever have come across.
