Wyndham Resort Kunming Anning Hot Spring

The room was spacious and bright, and the linens were clean. The room was large, and the bed was big, which is very family-friendly. The hotel is huge, with many conferences and lots of people. We had to wait for a table at breakfast, but overall, we were satisfied.

After a long drive back from Shangri-La, I was tired and booked this hot spring hotel on a whim. It turned out to be the most comfortable and best value-for-money hotel of our entire Yunnan trip. The hotel is grand and safe, and the staff are warm and polite. They recommended a restaurant that was delicious and affordable; our group of 14 ate for only 240 yuan and left stuffed! The hot spring temperature was a little low, but all in all, everything was perfectly arranged. Five-star rating!

It's a cheap Wyndham, so my expectations weren't that high. But I don't understand why, after booking one room, the price for a second room suddenly skyrocketed, while other apps still showed the lower price. Ctrip seems to be price gouging loyal customers.

The air conditioning in the room was terrible; it's a central system and you can't adjust it, so the room felt like a sauna. To make matters worse, they checked someone else into our room before we had even checked out! After breakfast, we returned to find other people in our room. Our fruit and medicine were gone. They even asked us why we were entering the room! Luckily, I had my room key, otherwise, it would have been impossible to explain. The staff said they thought we had checked out because there was no luggage. We booked three rooms; couldn't they have just put our belongings in one of them? And how can they just enter a guest's room when they haven't checked out? What kind of service is that? I've stayed in so many hotels, and this is the first time I've encountered something so bizarre!

There was a lot of noise on the top floor so I moved to the 11th. The hallway lights weren't even on, it felt like I was playing an escape room… And I went down for breakfast at 8:30 AM, and all they had was steamed buns, porridge, and pickles. No meat, no eggs, no coffee, no stir-fry. I'm speechless.

The room was spacious and clean. My biggest complaints were that it was too hot, and the soundproofing wasn't great. Also, the bed faced a mirror, which made my child scared to sleep alone at night.

I had a fantastic stay at the Wyndham Hot Spring Hotel during my trip. I was very pleased with everything. The hotel environment was incredibly comfortable, with a beautifully decorated and luxurious lobby. Our room was spotlessly clean and tidy, and the bed was super comfortable, ensuring I had a great night's sleep. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast spread was rich and varied, offering some delicious local specialties. And the hot springs were excellent!

The hot springs were nice, and the room was good too. But the real highlight was the staff at the lobby restaurant. I had originally planned to go for some rice noodles the previous night, and even though they were about to finish their shift, they offered to help me find a place to eat nearby. When we couldn't find a spot right away, they enthusiastically led me to another restaurant. It's genuinely rare to encounter such warm and enthusiastic staff, especially in a hotel. The team at the first-floor restaurant was absolutely excellent.
