Situated across a bar on a cobblestone street, the doorman welcomes you with a smile. The reception area is by the stairs, the small elevator is to the far right. Breakfast is served on the ground floor. The one bedded room we had on floor 3 was in the corner and had a bathtub as well as a shower. The nice balcony gave us a glimpse of the activity below. There was a ceiling fan so we never turned on the air conditioner. Two nice supermarkets were up the hill and to the right as well as banks with ATMs. When you exit the hotel, turn right, walk approx 20 meters and walk up the concrete steps (approx 4 -5 flights). Military were stationed throughout the City. The 7 pm curfew contributed to the quiet in the evenings.

This hotel has seen better times ….. more shabby than chic ! Need to invest in pretty much everything!!! I can imagine it was a nice place in the 50’s 60’s . Bar staff were super nice and the food ok but seriously buy some new sheets and new curtains …….they have enough clientele to be profitable !!!!!

Wifi is inconsistent. I have to stand in the hall to use it. Manager said this is the case in Madagascar. I've been in the country for over a week and this is the first time I've experienced this problem, so it is obviously the problem of the hotel. I searched the room for the TV remote and finally went down to receptionist to ask about it. She gave me a smile and handed me a remote. Apparently, she forgot to give it to me on check in. Maybe people have stolen them so they are kept at reception. Cleanliness could be improved and mattress is a bit springy. It should probably. It's sissy at least $10 higher than its worth. I would not recommend this hotel.

Worst restaurant here and I see from other reviews there is no management and when I asked to speak to a manager they replied “Good luck they are in Italy.” Avoid this place as there are too many good options in Tana to risk having a poor experience here. To the restaurant manager that told me I’m crazy for requesting a fork and knife with my meal, you don’t belong in the service industry.

Nothing negative to say about this beautiful hotel! ONLY POSITIVE!! The WIFI works great, the service is fast and efficient, the view is breathtaking, the hotel has a lift and it's super clean! There is even a bar integrated into the hotel and also a place to chat!

Sauberes Hotel, es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht, Küche und Service geben ihr bestes wie generell überall auf der Insel. Für eventuelle Stromausfälle kann kein Hotel etwas!!!!

Abbiamo trascorso 2 giorni in questo hotel logisticamente avvantaggiato da una buona posizione rispetto al centro città, apprezzandone cortesia ed efficienza del personale. Peccato che la struttura delle aree comuni, gli arredi interni e i sanitari siano datati (comunque funzionali). A disposizione nelle camere (sufficientemente spaziosa) sia il condizionamento dell'aria, che la cassaforte e la TV. Zona breakfast ricavata nella piccola hall, con colazione dolce appena sufficiente e quella salata limitata ad una buona omelette. Ristorante limitrofo (vi si accede da una lunga scala interna) accettabile se non si pretende cibo europeo. WiFi funzionale sia nelle aree comuni che in camera. L'accesso alle camere è favorito da un piccolo ascensore esterno, anch'esso desueto ma perfettamente funzionale.
