Reviews of Holiday Inn Express Antofagasta

Facing the sea, the traffic noise is quite loud in the morning and evening, especially the exhaust noise of cars blasting on the street. Don't live on the lower floors (2/3/4). The noise is very loud in the morning, and there are also big trucks collecting garbage. The breakfast is OK because there are rare spring rolls with meat filling. It's good to get up early and run at the beach 🏃

The reception staff only caused us problems from the moment we entered until we left. When we entered the hotel, they asked us to pay the taxes for the reservation. We refused to do so because the reservation value in the application included taxes and commissions. The reception staff even stopped serving us and started serving another guest who arrived later. After complaining that they had to serve us first because we had arrived earlier, they agreed to call their boss, who explained to them that the reservation was correct. This was a discussion that lasted approximately 25 minutes to check in at the hotel. When we left, the problem was similar. They refused to issue the invoice. We have never had such bad service before. This hotel is not recommended due to the poor service provided by the staff and they are unaware of reservations made through this means. The facilities are a bit old and dirty.

It is said to be the best hotel in the area. At most, it is at the level of domestic express hotels. Good location, close to the sea.

I was hesitant about this place as I couldn't find a nicer hotel. As I read good reviews of this place, I decided to give this a shot since location is more important. Since we just came down from the volcano, is a relieve to be in a hotel with a proper bed. Entrance is like any 4 star hotel, front desk is helpful for their system is hopeless. We quickly jumped onto the app to book for extra nights while in the car on the way to Antofagasta as we were down from the volcano camp 2 days earlier. Upon reaching, they said one of the room was canceled and their rooms are full as we didn't turn up (we just booked through the app 2hrs prior!). Anyway, it was finally sorted after my husband spent another 30min. there. All the staff here are very pleasant and helpful. I was impressed by the cafe here. We were so hungry for dinner when reach yet as we were super tired, we need to eat something. Their cafe looks like some sad American cafe but their food is good! I was so happy with their salmon main course while my husband's shrimp salad was very good too. They have a 24hr gym though only 1 rusty treadmill is working, is good enough for some cardio. No water is provided in the room but you can top up water in the gym. Location is great as it is in front of the sea. View is lovely and walk ~ 15-20minutes you can reach the big mall. MU Grill resto (best steak!) is only 5min. away. Breakfast is basic but at least they have some fruits and yoghurt. For the small price we paid, I'm very happy with the service and prompt room servicing of the room in the morning.

I stayed the second time at the Antofagasta Holiday Inn. The rooms are spacious and if you want to have an open window during the night, I recommend the rooms oriented toward the town. The rooms toward the sea have a nice seaview, but are noisy because of the main road along the coast. The bed and bedding is fairly new and comfortable. The brakfast buffet is good and always reststuffed. The staff is very nice and attentive. The 1 star deduction is because of very weak internet. It is not reliable. This needs improvement.

The hotel is in poor condition, with old equipment and in need of renovation. As soon as I arrived, a guest was complaining about the air conditioning not working and his room was a greenhouse. I asked for a quiet room and they gave me one facing the avenue (although my colleague who arrived with me and checked in later got one with less noise). The sound of trucks going to the port enters your room, which shakes (the windows are not soundproof), the air conditioning stops working and the room smells of mold. Choose another option, as a bad stay at this hotel is guaranteed. I do not recommend.

Comfortable rooms, very clean, excellent breakfast , adequate parking and very good staff attention. It is well located, but it is a bit expensive for its level. Anyway, I recommend it when you visit Antofagasta.

I use this whenever I am in Anto as it's convenient and reasonably priced. It's a fine place to spend the night and walking distance to the best restaurant in Anto, Mu Grill House. Otherwise it's not much to mention. It does have a nice breakfast but I am usually on the road before it's open.

Por favor, Mejorar las ofertas de alientacion durante la noche, para poder cenar mejor, ya que por seguridad uno no puede salir del hotel, ya que es un riesgo para los usuarios. Es una humilde opinion para que puedan mejorar. Muchas gracias.

1.- No pudimos ingresar/ tener acceso a la habitación hasta muy tarde. 2.- NO me permitieron pagar los refrigerios con dinero en efectivo. Medida arbitraria e ilegal. 3.- Las almohadas eran más redondas y duras que las ruedas del "troncomovil" de los Pica Piedras. 4.- El agua de la piscina estaba turbia, de color verde. NO TRANSPARENTE como es lo normal. 5.- Buen desayuno y espacio en el salón de entrada.
