Hotel provided great service. Clever was extremely helpful in arranging pickup and dropoff at the train station as well as arranging my trip to the mountain. Excellent customer service and highly recommended. Hot springs at the hotel are great with countless pools to choose from. Room was spacious and clean. Buffet dinner was good and the house beer was great. Breakfast was okay - could be improved with more options. Gym could have more equipment - only dumbbells and a few cardio machines. Overall great stay and highly recommend this hotel.

The best part of this hotel is the lady working on the VIP desk in the reception area. She was incredibly helpful with booking trips, taxis, and giving us ideas for things to do in the area! The hotel is nice except for people smoking everywhere. Is it really necessary to have ashtrays all down the corridors? The smell seeps into the rooms and it's disgusting. Check in was fine and they'll keep your bags safe until the room is ready. They also let us check in early which was awesome. Not impressed at having our passports taken away for 24 hours while they were taken to the police station. This was not communicated at all until much later. Location is good if you have a car. If not its a short taxi ride into town or a 30 min walk.

It was the first time for Southern Little Potato to visit Changbai Mountain. I originally wanted to book one of the two famous hot spring hotels, but time was too tight and there was no room, so I chose the old Dongwo Hotel. Dongwo Hotel arranged a super welcoming hotel. The hotel also provides a free buffet breakfast. You can go to the hot springs in the evening. Your hair will be frozen and your body will be warm while soaking. The power of a hair dryer can be used to dry clothes, but it can cause great damage to hair. There was no humidifier in the room and the breakfast area was freezing. The hotel is very close ( 25 yuan by taxi or 15 mins) from the train station. The staff went out of their way to make my stay more pleasant: they helped me to get a nice Korean dinner and since I told her my train was at 7 am and I wouldn’t be able to take the breakfast. They prepared it for me in a bag for me to eat it at 6 when I leave to the train station. Really warm staff. At first I was placed in a room with very poor soundproof and the next door neighbor was quite loud , had a duster screaming “ mom look” all the time . So the front desk had me moved to another area of the hotel on e same floor . I had a sound sleep. Something that needs improvement is that I needed 3 pillows , the hotel could not provide extra pillows and the ones the Ed has are a bit too thin. But I would stay again!

I'm afraid my experience wasn't the best. When arrived our room, the floor (carpet) was super dirty. We complained to reception and they sent a cleaning lady. She wasn't super happy to clean the floor but we waited patently. Once she finished we open the bed and saw some hairs. We called reception again. This time one of the hotel managers came to meet us. She apologized and decided to upgrade us to a nicer and bigger room for free. They still took over one hour to clean it to make sure it was in acceptable conditions. I'm not sure we were just unlucky or that is the normal standard in that hotel. In any case, the new room was good to stay and we were happy with their efforts. Breakfast is almost inexistent for foreigners and it finishes way too early: 8:30. Arriving twice at 8am, we could barely find food. Except for this location, is good (close to train station, close to hospital where you can do virus test, close to connection point to enter Changbaishan (North), close to some big green areas (pine forests) where you can have enjoyable walks in the morning or after dinner. As a conclusion, if I may give some constructive feedback to hotel manager: - please consistently and thoroughly clean your rooms when guests leave; - extended breakfast time to at least 9:30; - include more variety in the breakfast and make sure quantities are at decent level by 8:00.

Excellent customer service and highly recommended. Hot springs at the hotel are great with countless pools to choose from. Room was spacious and clean. Buffet dinner was good and the house beer was great. Breakfast was okay - could be improved with more options. Gym could have more equipment - only dumbbells and a few cardio machines. Overall great stay and highly recommend this hotel.

The best part of this hotel is the lady working on the VIP desk in the reception area. She was incredibly helpful with booking trips, taxis, and giving us ideas for things to do in the area! The hotel is nice except for people smoking everywhere. Is it really necessary to have ashtrays all down the corridors? The smell seeps into the rooms and it's disgusting. Check in was fine and they'll keep your bags safe until the room is ready. They also let us check in early which was awesome. Not impressed at having our passports taken away for 24 hours while they were taken to the police station. This was not communicated at all until much later. Location is good if you have a car. If not its a short taxi ride into town or a 30 min walk.
