Changbai Mountain Pureland Hot Spring Resort Hotel

Facilities: Very complete, has everything you need. The decor is also very artistic, fitting well with the Changbai Mountain scenic area. Hygiene: Found a strand of hair in the fried rice at breakfast. For a four-star hotel, that's really unacceptable 😂, just like a fly-ridden diner. Environment: Quite good and beautiful. Service: The staff at the lobby and bathhouse are all very enthusiastic, answering all questions and always happy to help. A short-haired staff member even enthusiastically told us how to best explore the area, as we hadn't planned anything, and was very patient. However, there's a manager or someone at the front desk who always seems very impatient when answering questions – I've truly never seen such an attitude 😂, and it wasn't even a difficult question. Also, the driver: if shuttle service is provided, why can't it be perfect? He also seemed impatient and didn't help with luggage when we got out. He even honked furiously just because we didn't know how to close the trunk 😂. This hotel should be one of the better ones in the area, so it would be a shame to lose out because of these small issues. Overall, the service from the other hotel staff was quite good.

The room was spacious and very clean. There were many options for breakfast, and the hot springs were really relaxing. The kids had a great time! The outdoor hot springs were even better – soaking in them when it's below zero was a truly unique experience.

This hot spring hotel is only a ten-minute drive from the high-speed rail station, making it perfect if you don't want to travel far into the mountains for a soak. I highly recommend the outdoor hot springs; there are far fewer people than indoors, and it's not cold at all if you briefly step out of the water – just be careful not to get your hair wet. The breakfast selection was quite diverse. Aside from the hot springs and various perks, the hotel itself is pretty average. The room decor is very plain, there are no smart controls, and not even a smart toilet. The most critical issue is the terrible soundproofing; you can hear everything happening outside the door crystal clear.

You don't even have to leave the hotel to enjoy the hot springs, which feel amazing after a day of skiing. I was worried I wouldn't have enough time to soak after eating at the restaurant, but the staff offered to deliver my meal to the hot springs area. So thoughtful!

The hotel offers a shuttle service to Changbaishan, and the owner is incredibly welcoming. It's really close to Changbaishan, the accommodation is great, and the breakfast is delicious. I highly recommend staying here.

The room was really nice, and the environment was great too. Definitely worth coming back again. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and friendly, which made for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was excellent and had a wide variety of options that perfectly suited our Southern palates. Truly fantastic! The hotel's amenities and services were also top-notch.

This hotel really left me speechless. First off, for a local five-star hotel, there was no one to greet us at the entrance, and no one to help with our luggage when we arrived or departed. Unless you've pre-booked a shuttle service, no one will assist you. Secondly, the staff's attitude was an issue. I'm not sure if it's because they're from the Northeast, but their tone was incredibly cold and unfriendly. I'm not asking for forced smiles, but at least a more approachable tone would be nice. The bath amenities in the room weren't enough, so I asked housekeeping for more. The person who delivered them just scowled, said nothing, handed them over, and left. It was really frustrating. The hot springs area was decent, with two floors and an outdoor section. The breakfast was another story. I've never seen a resort breakfast only served until 9:30 AM. We arrived close to 9 AM, and while there were still many diners, a lot of items weren't being replenished. The toaster burned the bread, and the freshly cooked wontons and noodles were clearly frozen. This kind of breakfast was priced at over 100 RMB. The room facilities were just standard chain hotel quality, definitely not worth the 2000 RMB per night. Because of the hot springs, there were very few places to hang swimsuits and towels. For a 2000 RMB per night room, there was no mini-bar, nothing in the fridge, and the coffee on the table was the cheap, 1.8-gram instant kind. While the room temperature was warm, there was no humidifier. If you're going out for activities like rafting, the hotel does offer partnered car services. They're a bit more expensive than a taxi, but the driver will wait for you, so you don't have to call for a car after your activity. Overall, my experience at this hotel was very negative. From the exterior, the hotel looks luxurious and aims for a high-end image, but the internal staff seemed untrained and couldn't keep up with the service expected of a five-star hotel.

The hotel is huge with a great environment and a convenient location, just ten minutes from the high-speed train station when you leave. The shuttle service to and from the station is very convenient, and the driver was punctual. The front desk staff were warm and attentive in their service. It's also close to Enduli and various activities. The Guardian Hot Spring is very unique. The security guard and a lovely lady from Shandong working at the bathhouse were both very enthusiastic. The breakfast selection is abundant, and the late-night noodles were delicious. They even have robots deliver takeout, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, a very satisfying stay. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit the North Slope.
