Jinshuihe Hot Spring International Hotel

This hot spring international hotel was so comfortable it made me want to just 'lie flat' – my alarm went off three times in the morning, and I had only one thought: go hiking? Hike what? Aren't the bed and hot springs more appealing? In the end, I procrastinated so much I almost gave up on my plans. Being too comfortable is truly a 'sin'!

Right at check-in, we were given two warm bottles of Changbai Mountain mineral water. The room was standard, and the heating was very strong – we had to sleep with the window open. The hot springs, however, are in a separate building, and you have to walk through the lobby on the ground floor to get to them. The lobby and the breakfast area on the second floor weren't warm enough, making it easy to catch a cold after coming back from the hot springs. The hot springs themselves are communal and only have a few small pools; it's not really worth going unless you just want a quick taste of Changbai Mountain's hot springs.

Two adults and one child enjoyed the outdoor hot spring experience with no time limit: The hotel front desk was very welcoming. Knowing we had an early start the next day, they thoughtfully prepared milk and bread for us. The hotel environment is lovely, and there's a hot spring bath. Overall, it was a good experience, highly recommended.

The hotel service was absolutely wonderful! When we checked in, the front desk saw we were cold and immediately offered us warm bottled water. Our room was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. When we went to the hot springs, the staff member managing the area was so enthusiastic. She constantly reminded us to be safe and even specially guided us to try the outdoor hot springs, which was a 100% amazing experience. Despite the cold weather, we truly felt the warmth and hospitality from the hot springs staff. She even helped us take a group photo – fantastic! 👍 Breakfast was also excellent, with delicious food and even frozen sliced pears. Next time I come to Changbai Mountain, this hotel will definitely be my first choice.

Check-in was smooth! Our dedicated butler, Chen Yuanyuan, was excellent – she helped us with our luggage and brought us up to the room. The room's facilities are a bit old, though. The toilet light is a bit quirky; it dims on its own, probably some kind of energy-saving mode.

This hotel is very noisy, it seems to cater to tour groups. It gets incredibly loud starting at 6 AM every day, and the soundproofing is terrible. The front desk staff's attitude was just okay, but the concierge was good. The shower head in the bathroom was broken, and the lighting was very dim. Overall, it was a very poor experience. I heard tour groups get it for only 200 a night, so I feel it was really not worth the price.

The room was very spacious, the underfloor heating was great, and I slept comfortably. The shuttle service was also very convenient. Overall, I had a pretty good experience.

The hotel is clean and hygienic, and the staff are warm and patient. You can enjoy the hot springs; although there aren't many pools, soaking in them is very comfortable. The transportation is also convenient, with the Meiren Song Scenic Area right across the street, and it's not far from the Rime Rafting. It's a 10-minute taxi ride to the Edelweiss Camp, which has a small reindeer park. The entrance fee is cheap and includes a portion of food to feed the elk and sika deer. There's a snowman at the hotel entrance, and I don't know who built it, but it's wearing a scarf and a hat – very pretty! Overall, it offers good value for money.
