This place is an absolute dump. Do NOT stay here. You're greeted with a hard to find alleyway piled high with garbage, old furniture, etc. Upon entering the building, you immediately realize the entire place absolutely reeks of rotting garbage. I went upstairs and the place hadn't been cleaned from the previous people. Eventually someone came, but only cleaned for about 10 minutes, including CLEANING THINGS WITH THE OLD BATH TOWELS. Then, some random person walked into the place, I'm guessing maybe the previous guest - apparently they don't change the code between guests - they left in a hurry when they found out someone else was there. Found out from someone at the restaurant this place has been known to have squatters. We tried to get out of the reservation but got the runaround, asking for pictures of the terrible smell??? The place is beat up and shabby, absolutely filthy if you look beyond just the surface. They offered us a "15% discount on our next stay" as compensation. Nope - headed to the Marriott and filed a chargeback.

Le prix est attractif mais il faut savoir que pour ce prix-là, vous avez juste un logement et zéro service. En cas de problème, pas de communication. Vous êtes juste un pion que Smartflats déplace d’un logement à l’autre sans prévenir. Vous êtes mis devant le fait accompli en toute dernière minute. Et les personnes qui répondent au téléphone n’ont aucune compétence pour traiter les problèmes ; elles sont juste là pour vous mener en bateau et transmettre votre demande au service concerné (qui la plupart du temps ne répond pas) en vous demandant d’être patient. Ils nous ont bougé 3 fois de logement sans nous prévenir. On l'a appris par hasard, 3 jours avant notre départ, en téléphonant pour avoir des réponses au mail envoyé 10 jours avant. Le dernier changement a eu lieu 1h30 avant le check-in, où ils nous ont déplacé là où on avait dit qu'on ne voulait pas aller ! Et ils ont refusé de me transmettre leur accord pour une annulation gratuite (accord nécessaire pour Booking vu qu'1h avant l'arrivée, j'étais bien sûr hors délai pour une annulation gratuite!). Heureusement, Booking a été plus professionnel. J'espère que je recevrai l'argent...

C'était super. Le check-in était très clair (comparé à d'autres appartements à Anvers dans lesquels j'ai logé). L'appartement est super bien situé (près de bars, magasins, musées, restaurants, ...), et tout est faisable à pied. L'appartement est grand et spacieux!

Toen we binnenkwamen, roken we rook van sigaretten. De vloer was niet schoon, de ramen zaten vol met vuile vlekken, het matras van de slaapbank was oud en bevat gore vlekken van bloed en zweet. De keukenpanelen waren plakkerig en de kookplaat was walgelijk. Er is een rioolgeur in het hele appartement, meestal rond de gootsteen. De gordijnen en de bank zijn ook erg vies en zijn nodig toe aan vervanging. Het is zo vies dat we meteen schoonmaakmiddelen en doekjes hebben gekocht om zelf het huis en de deuren schoon te maken. Smartflats stuurde een schoonmaakploeg om opnieuw schoon te maken zonder dat wij hier van wisten, zij zijn dus ONGEVRAAGD in onze kamer geweest. Na een nacht van niet slapen in het slechte doorgelegen bed, hebben we meteen onze spullen gepakt en zijn we vertrokken!
