Hotels near Middelheim Open Air Sculpture Museum in Antwerp

El hotel esta muy céntrico todo queda prácticamente andando, a 4 minutos de la central de trenes de Amberes, justo fuera del hotel esta la estación del autobus Flixbus que lleva y trae del aeropuerto, el centro de la ciudad está a tiro de piedra, justo en la esquina esta una tienda Jumbo con precios accesibles, las habitaciones son pequeñas, cuentan con cafetera e insumos para preparar café, secador de cabello, plancha y tabla de planchar, nos alojamos en la habitación 103 con vista a la opera, el desayuno es muy bueno consta de huevo con tocino, fruta fresca, yogurth, café, té, pan recién horneado, insumos para preparar sandwiches, frutos secos y cereales, ademas se cuenta con opción a preparar waffles, el único inconveniente que durante 6 días solo nos colocaron 1 botella de 500 ml de agua en la habitación y que en el comedor muchas cosas se encuentran colocadas bastante altas y resulta algo incomodo para personas de estatura baja, como sugerencia sería bueno que cuenten con personal que hable español ya que cada vez más las personas que hablamos este idioma visitamos Europa y sería un alago que nuestro idioma se vuelva internacional.

Friendly counter and allowed to go to my twin room 4 hours early. Very clean hotel with towels and water supplied. No kettle but I think this must Bea Belgian thing. The station is opposite but it is 20 min walk to the old town. Fine for me but some may want to be nearer. The walk there is the main shopping street. Overall I think it was great value. As a note to other guests, and I always write this, please be more considerate when talking in the corridors especially before 8am. Whisper, your voice echoes and sound meds like you’re shouting. And don’t allow to doors to slam shut!!

A lovely hotel and right where you need to be if visiting Antwerp, it's ideally located near bars, restaurants, shopping and near the diamond quarter. Nice clean room with a large bed, no tea or coffee facilities but you can go upstairs to the sixth floor and use the machines (if working). The only issue I had was I needed to use the hairdryer and after about 2 minutes use it stopped working, that is the only problem I had. Would definitely use this hotel again, it's the perfect place. And before I forget I did ask a member of staff how to get to the brewery and someone else gave me directions, thank you very much am sorry I didn't get your name but it's appreciated

Citybox is a functional hotel along Molenbergstraat. It is a 10-12 minute walk from Antwerp Central Station and around 10-15 minute walk to the main sightseeing area of the city. We recently had a good multi night stay and would consider booking Citybox here in Antwerp or one of their sister properties elsewhere in Europe based on our experience. Booking was made through the Citybox website where we found best room rates. Self check-in when we arrived at the property was simple to use, smart card key was issued and we were in our room within just a few minutes. Lobby was large with comfortable and atmospheric seating. There is an eatery on the ground floor which opens early. Second floor had washing machine facility. While there is no front desk, there are staff in the office next to the lift if they are needed. Rooms are spacious with simple decor and furnishing. Bathroom was fine, shower water pressure good. Importantly, bed was generally comfortable. Lighting, heating and wifi all worked just fine. Note, the room is fairly minimalist, no TV, in room safe, kettle, hand towels and other amenities that you usually find in traditional hotels. All is fine if you know what you are getting into with Citybox. We felt, they got the important things right and offered a good stay experience for the room rates being offered and their location in Antwerp.

The history of Castle Solhof dates back to 1414 and at one time it was surrounded by moat and castle walls, the moat and turrets of the castle still survive today. Now a hotel the present owners bought the Castle in 1990. The entrance and cobbled courtyard are very impressive, with an ornate fountain / pond and neatly pruned hedges. At check-in the receptionist did not seem at all bothered about Covid and said I should remove my mask as it was not needed, even though I had just arrived from the UK and driven through France! I had a Superior Twin Room (#19) with two large beds. The room was nicely furnished, with maybe a table too many, and I loved the tall windows over looking the front courtyard. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was for its free courtyard parking and I could see my car safely from my room. I had no meal plan at the hotel so I can't comment on that. My room was very warm and I couldn't see how to control the heating, so I opened both windows! The bed was comfortable and the room clean, but I do hate a shower in a bath with a clingy shower curtain. My room was €99 booked via Expedia.

Stayed in the the Hotel Indigo for 2N whilst visiting Antwerp. The hotel is excellently located, within a stone's throw from the Grand Central Station - so ideal for accessing local destinations. The rooms are excellent quality - with good quality furnishings. The only exception to this is the bathroom mirror, which has a light which dangles from cord in front of the mirror, rather than being placed at a spot where the light effectively illuminates your face as you look in the mirror. Fortunately, I always bring my own illuminating mirror when I go travelling, for this kind of eventuality! The service was very good, and I like the touch where you can opt out of having your room cleaned and towels exchanged if staying 2N or more, in return for a free drinks voucher. The price is good also, was certainly among the more reasonably priced hotels in the city. Would definitely return!!! 100%.

Came by the other day and it was a decent experience, although with some bizarre quirks. Booked direct for the ”Executive Family Studio with Kitchen” and the front desk agent printed out a contract with a ”Deluxe Studio.” When I inquired about the difference, another employee quickly chimed in that I ”got upgraded” and my original room had no kitchen?!? As the ”Executive Studio with Kitchen” has kitchen in the name, I inquired a second time, and the employee raised her voice saying that the room was the same?!? A 3rd employee eventually came in, after reviewing their own website, and started talking about the Penthouse suite (completely irrelevant?!?). Attempted to use the laundry room located behind the secure door using my keycard and had to answer 21 questions to the front desk agent with my room number, my full name, and the company I was representing (all with a load of dirty laundry in my arms), which was completely bizarre. At 7 am, the agent claimed that someone on my floor booked a taxi?!? (also completely irrelevant?!?) The studio itself was pretty spacious, although with some quicks. For example, the bathroom was dated, unlike the pictures on the website. More importantly, it was bizarre to have a handheld shower installed on the long side of the bathtub, vs the short side?!? ...also might have been helpful to use a curved shower curtain to make showering less claustrophobic... Water pressure was usable although the shower curtain had a strange smell... Highlights of the studio included the comfortable bed, although slightly lumpy in areas, with quality sheets and towels. The kitchen itself was modern and fully stocked, including 2 bottles of water in the kitchen. The ”welcome gift” appeared to be the 2 dishwashing tablets and manual dishwashing liquid... Booking direct, the confirmation indicated that there would be a ”welcome drink upon arrival” Perhaps the 2 bottles of water in the fridge was it?!? Other anomalies included super dark lighting at night. The lighting was insufficient in the dining area, which made it quite dark to work and read in. There was a freestanding light that helped provide additional lighting in the sleeping area. It was also odd to see that the room number listed on my in room telephone was different from the one on my door?!? The laundry room was complimentary and fantastic! There was also complimentary laundry detergent. A wash takes 2-3 hours and a dry takes 1+ hour. The signage against the wall with instructions on how to use the washing machine didn't match the actual washing machine which was confusing at best...

Excellent, quiet hotel! The room has a bath, a large bathroom, a dressing room with a mirror in full size and a huge bed, a desk and windows on the entire room width. Also there is a capsule coffee +2 capsule coffee and tea, a bottle of water. To the station 15 minutes walk, near the park. The bathroom has a dispenser with universal means: shower gel/sampoule, towel kit.

THE BEST HOSTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN . More of a hotel/temporary living space. I found myself distrcted from sightseeing to spend time in the public areas. It was amazing - the decor, the facilities, the books, the communal work table for digital nomads, the compemporary furnishings, the stylish bathrooms, super kitchen ( with named plastic boxes for ythe fridge) plants and flowers, the roof terrace, the internal gardens, the green walls, the extras ( free quality ontap teas/coffees, the towels, the ear plugs etc) , the bicycles for rent and the super efficent and helpful staff. I didin't try the restaurant but the breakfast looked good. . I am looking forward to visiting their new venue in Liege and , when it is open - Brussels

I have taken a number of business trips and relied on this hotel. It is familiar but more importantly, based on the options I’ve seen, it is one of the best (if not the best) at this price point. Depending on your needs this can be an average or an excellent hotel. I am used to hotel rooms with kitchenettes or at least a microwave. Tip: there is a microwave & washer and dryer in lounge where vending machines are (2nd floor which they call 1st floor; there is a floor zero). Confusing, I know. Also, some rooms have two twin beds pushed together while others have a platform bed with one solid mattress (queen size, I believe). I recommended bringing cleaning wipes to wipe bathroom and other door handles/desk surfaces just to ensure you get the areas cleaning crews often miss. Otherwise the units are kept very neat and clean. There are mini fridges, coffeemakers and ironing facilities in each room. There are 2 or 3 restaurants in the hotel. There are two (slow) EV charges by main entrance. Lots of parking in front on side and behind hotel. Be careful entering and exiting the main lot. Lots of bicyclers and blind spots to even see cars. Despite my “warnings”, this is truly a great place to stay.
