The room was large and they put an extra bed, so I was able to spend a relaxing time with three family members. There is a popular soba restaurant called Kakizaki next door, but unfortunately it was reserved. A dated Retro Inn, one building by itself. My impression on the 1st day upon checked in was very disappointing. However, after 4 nights there, the image improve and like it there. At least 10 to 15mins walk from Aomori JR train station. Hotel is still using the manual keys, tap water we need to adjust manually to reach a acceptable temperature we want. I cannot see any CCTV in the corridor of guest room. This really worries me. Lights were too dim, very depressing. Rooms are small with odd spaces. We are able to make use of the odd spaces to put our luggage. Bath/toilets are even smaller. And usually we can smell a sewage smell in the bath room. What impress us is that though it is an old dated inn, Hotel has facilities for washing machine at 300 yen and dryer at 100 yen per 30 minutes. Japanese breakfast included was delicious and nutritious. Staff are always humble and friendly and informative. We can go to the lobby for coffee and bread (on the house) between 3 to 10pm. Rooms are clean and as days passed we forgot about the old property as staff are all cheerful and makes us happy. If hotel did not provide free breakfast, then the rate paid may not be worth for this hotel. I would only recommend this hotel to someone who needs breakfast and has a male companion and vigilant person.
