Kimpton la Mer Crete by IHG
"Booked a spa experience with Anthi and she was excellent would book again!"
Vantaris Luxury Beach Resort
"An absolutely amazing experience at Aegeo Spa. Terry at reception was very friendly and so accommodating. Really great customer service. I had a deep tissue massage by Margaret and this was the best massage I’ve had so far (and I have a lot of massages). She was so lovely and made me feel extremely relaxed and at ease. Margaret is an asset to the team and Aegeo Spa."
Georgioupolis Beach Hotel
"From the moment we arrived at Georgioupolis Beach Hotel, I felt instantly at home. We had Dinner and drinks at the rooftop lounge which was amazing. The staff made us feel like family, offering to heat up the sauna ready for us. It has a beautiful outside heated pool with super comfy sun loungers (which was perfect for us in April) , a beautiful spa, rooftop jacuzzi, gym area and rooftop bar. The staff are so amazing!. I 100 percent recommend this hotel."
Mare Blue Suites
"Lovely adults only hotel with friendly staff, great quality food and overslept very clean. The pool was tiny but really added to luxury feel. It was also very easy to get around, with access to both the rooms, reception, restaurant, shops, bars and located on the beach…"
Pilot Beach Resort
"Superior hotel outstanding service. Perfect sandy beach. Beautiful views. High end bedrooms, good quality of sleep. Wonderful pool area, bars and restaurants"
Anemos Luxury Grand Resort
"Best 5 star All Inclusive in Crete. Rooms We stayed in a deluxe double room with a garden view. I had messaged prior to our visit requesting a higher floor and a room in a quieter area and this was honoured. We were in room 3121 which was near enough to everything but at the same time very peaceful and quiet. The room and bathroom was a good size with lots of storage and everything you could possibly need. The double bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. (We were very happy to have a double bed and not two singles pushed together). The room was cleaned daily and the fridge restocked along with two large bottles of water left in the room each day. We preferred tea to coffee (we couldn’t seem to get the coffee machine to work anyway) and there was a kettle but thankfully we had brought our own English teabags with us as there were none in the room. The tv had mostly German channels other than a few news channels but we had downloaded a couple of films to watch so it didn’t bother us and hey we weren’t there to watch tv. The balcony was a good size with comfortable chairs and had lovely view of the mountains and a partial sea view. Food We visited two of the à la cartes, the Italian and the Pan Asian and both were excellent. We had booked the fish restaurant too but we cancelled as we loved the buffet so much. There was a huge choice to suit every palate with a lot of consideration to different dietary requirements. There were lots of food and drink options available at the various restaurants and bars throughout the day. The drinks menu was extensive and top quality and we enjoyed quite a few cocktails. The rooftop bar was beautiful and served the best cocktails we’d ever tasted. The service everywhere was fantastic and you really felt looked after . The staff all worked so hard, always with a smile and were so friendly and helpful. The grounds are kept immaculately clean and everywhere is beautiful. So much time and effort must go into maintaining the wonderful flora and fauna around the resort. We saw many varieties of butterflies and birds, not to mention cute little lizards whilst walking around. Sports We played tennis on a few mornings which was easily booked. There was plenty of rackets and balls and the court is in great condition. Like everywhere it had wonderful views of the mountains. There was also football, badminton, crazy golf, and a play area with air hockey (1 euro per game) and a pool table which we enjoyed playing quite a few games of (2 euros per game). We cooled off after tennis on the water slides which were great fun for both kids and adults. There was a timetable of events including aqua classes and pilates and yoga classes in a lovely little holistic studio. We didn’t attend any classes but we did watch the aqua and the instructor was fantastic and everyone looked like they were really enjoying it. There is a spa which offers treatments however we didn’t try any. The spa "
Apollo Hotel 1
"We came for a week as a British couple and had a great time. We had room 101 which was like a mini suite with a little sitting room and a large balcony too. The cleaners came every day and made the bed and changed the sheets during the week also. The location isn’t ideal, it’s out of the way however there is a little taverna opposite which is lovely and does nice food and wine. There is a little minibus that takes you to a local beach and fetches you back. Also from the bottom of the road there is a land train to go to Georgioupoli or lake kournas. Also there is a taxi service you just use WhatsApp to order. Very easy to get around once you’ve worked it out. Also the bus to rethymno is from the bottom of the road only €3.20. So the food wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great, mainly it was always cold. And you had to guess what it was. The all inclusive beers was ok but the wine was shocking! But there is a lovely taverna down the street called Pelagia and that does jugs of lovely wine for €7. It’s mainly Germans in the resort and the staff speak fluent German and little English but they were extremely friendly and helpful, they made meal reservations for us at a nice restaurant and were always giving everyone raki and having a laugh Overall a lovely holiday!"
Nima Boutique Hotel
"Really positive experience staying at this great new hotel. Rooms are nice and modern. Breakfast was a great little buffet that has everything you could need. All of the food and drink was freshly made. The location is a few minutes walk from the beach and even less of a walk to local restaurants, shops and car rental services etc."
Mare Boutique
"We have just returned from mere boutique in crete we were put off before we whent due to poor reviews but had no need to worry we had a fabulous time there a modern small hotel with comfortable rooms a small pool at the front of the hotel and the sea just across from the hotel approx 500 yards great bar run by George restaurant with sea views good breakfast and a choice of different dishes every lunchtime and evening we couldn't fault it plenty of trips to do on a little train from trip advisers outside the hotel and not expensive shops and bars within easy walking distance plenty of terverners serving Greek fare would highly recommend it don't listen to the moners and groners it's clean nice comfortable beds a small Greek delight x"

Almyrida Village and Waterpark
"The hotel was awful! The only good thing was the bed was comfortable in our room! There was raw sewage over the main walk way down to dinner for the first three days. Lumps of poo and tissue and other liquids ran over the path and down past the children’s play area entrance. Their attempt they made to clean it up consisted of hosing all the sewage into the boarder and into the grass entrance to the children’s play area. I took daily videos of this. There were visible lumps of poo on the grass as you walked in. And absolutely no attempt to disinfect the area or any warning signs. When they fixed the damage sewage pip they walked all the contents across the path barely 25 meters from where we were eating and walked through this area with what I can only assume was sewage in buckets right through the outside dining area. It absolutely stank! This boarder as also left with used toilet paper and sewage for all to see and smell. I did complain once to the receptionist about the sewage and her reply was what did I want her to do about it? So I told her how dangerous it was and that it needed cleaning and sanitation asap. This was never done. The food in the hotel was horrible! No variety and the same tasteless foods every day for breakfast and the odd minor change for dinner in the evening. The plates were cold so by the time you’d got your food and sat down it was stone cold. I noticed lots of people having to use the microwave to heat up their food. There was no Greek yogurt for breakfast, instead it was just a plain natural yogurt and the honey was mostly syrup. Cereal was minimal and tasteless there was what looked like tinned fruit but it was in water so not sweet and very tasteless. There was some sort of cream cheese to replace feta cheese!? People were scrabbling to get to the food as there was very little put out, if you came down late then there was even less choice. The room which was comfortable was ok but the shower was so small that even my husband who is quite slim struggled to wash himself in it. To turn the shower on you got sprayed by cold water as this was the only direction the water fired at you and you had to turn it on to warm up. There was nowhere to hold your shampoo etc so that had to go on the floor and for someone with a pretty sore back and not much room to move almost impossible. The rooms were cleaned daily which was fine but on returning from our days out the cleaning staff had left our door unlocked so anyone could have just walked in and stolen our valuables. All in all I would never want to return to this hotel and having now seen other peoples reviews I can see we’re not the only ones who hated it. We would like our money back as this absolutely spoiled what was mentioned to be mine and my husbands first holiday in 15yrs without our children. A holiday that was ment to be relaxing. It was anything but relaxing."
Summer Beach Hotel
"Dont listen to previous reviews just come back from here may11 2026 Great hotel fantastic staff some little issues hot water off for a few hours But fixed quickly Great facilities lovely looking hotel."
Elianthos Villas
"We stayed in one of the two story villas. The rooms were very large and high ceilings. They were also very nicely decorated and with attention to detail. There were two bathrooms which were equipped with towels and hygiene items (shampoo and shower gel from a local producer, slippers etc). there were also towels for the outdoor pool. Rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean. The bed mattress was excellent. It is worth mentioning the treat that awaited us: Cretan raki, kavrumadaki, pastries and candies! Both the owner and the Reception staff were polite and very helpful! On the upper balcony overlooking the pool and the mountain there were 2 large luxurious sunbeds and a small table. There was also a small table on the lower level, from where one could go to the pool. The pool was very clean with umbrellas and sunbeds for guests. There was also a barbecue area and an area with exercise equipment. I really can't fault it."
Vantaris Palace
"I visited the spa several times. Excellent atmosphere, organization, and massage by the spa team Marianna and Sophia."
Villa Amfimala
Delfina Tropic Beach
"A small, intimate beachfront hotel with a sandy beach – Blue Flag 2025. I recommend this hotel for rest and relaxation in Crete. The hotel is small, which is its advantage. It consists of a main building and several outbuildings, most of which have a small pool on the ground floor, and some rooms on the upper floors also have a jacuzzi. The buildings are one or two stories high. Umbrellas and sunbeds are available for a fee of 6 euros per bed. There is a beach bar and restroom, and a gym is also located nearby. Our room was sufficiently sized and well-arranged, with a spacious wardrobe, iron, slippers, and bathrobes. A safe (additional fee required, unfortunately, but with a key). Individual air conditioning, a mosquito net, and blinds. The bathroom is small but renovated. There is a shower and toiletries, but a magnifying mirror is missing. There is a hairdryer and a power socket, which is unusual in Greek bathrooms. The TV is mostly German-language, with two Polish channels, but unfortunately, they are TV5 and Polonia, with no news channels. A bottle of wine and a fruit plate awaited us upon arrival, a nice gesture from the hotel. The restaurant is small, but the food is decent, with theme nights but nothing extravagant or extravagant. Everyone can find something to enjoy. Delicious Greek cuisine, plenty of prepared dishes, always fresh fruit, and a small selection of desserts. Breakfast is plentiful. Drinks are available for an additional fee, and prices are reasonable. The service at the restaurant, bar, and reception is first-class; everyone is smiling and friendly. Michalis, the restaurant manager, and his team of young staff deserve special thanks. The beach is beautiful, wide, sandy, and pebbly, and is supervised from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with plenty of sunbeds available at all hours; there's no need to book in advance. The beach is approximately 6-7 km long, and you can walk to the center of Georgioupolis and the floating chapels, visiting the numerous beach bars along the way. I have been to this area for the 4th time and I will definitely come back here, the beach is without crowds, without pushy vendors, and the entrance to the water is gentle."
Kalyves Beach Hotel
"We went all inclusive plus and had a lovely Seaview room overlooking the beach fantastic view plus the branded drinks was amazing food was ok needed the microwave for a minute but that's fine a relaxing outside eating area with a stream and ducks and geese swimming up to you beautiful to see will definitely return as we loved it"
