Parador de Arcos de La Frontera

Situated at the top of the old town, the front in an old square, and the back with the restaurant perched on the edge of a cliff with wonderful views. The hotel is decorated and furnished in traditional Spanish style. Very worth the money to pay for superior room to be able to wake up to the view each morning. Good selection of cold items at breakfast with limited range of hot items cooked to order. We had dinner at the hotel on several occasions, good choice on menu, and food nicely presented. Dinner in summer is not served until 8.30pm (8.00pm in winter). Bar food is also not available between 3.30pm and 8.00pm in winter. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful, and the service in the restaurant was good. We stayed in November, so the restaurant was quiet. The daytime temperature went up to 26 on a couple of days we were there, so definitely worth considering for a late autumn holiday (although it is usually a few degrees lower in early November). Attractive old hilltop town with a number of restaurants. We were advised to park in the low town, and were very glad we did. The streets in the old part are extremely narrow with tight corners. If you did succeed in getting up to the hotel without any scrapes, you would be very lucky to find somewhere to park. We very much enjoyed our stay - it was a relaxing week in a relaxing hotel, coupled with some very nice late autumn warmth.

The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. The opposite was that we came to throw the bridge and rest above all and we were waking up on Monday with the unsupportable noise of works at the hostel at 8 a.m., which we would have been grateful if you were to warn us to evaluate other options.

The location and the palace where the building is located are also nice. But here it's all over: we haven't seen anyone (only by phone), saying that the room needed a snake and a vacuum cleaner is a euphemism, on the comforts the abat-jours were fancy, we can avoid talking about it. Breakfast was obviously to be done outside the building, but perhaps it was the most pleasant thing:small characteristic bar mixed with the inhabitants in a real Spanish breakfast
