Reviews of Ionian Hill Hotel

Nice view from the hotel - there is a pool with sea view. However, very far away from everything. If you want to go eat in town, can only call taxi (15 euro for 3-4km drive). Pick up service usually don’t come up to the hill and asked us to walk down the hill all the time. The road downhill is very slippery, my friend fell on the road!! Better to stay closer to town at a more convenient location. Staff at hotel are very friendly and breakfast was nice.

Personally, I think Zakynthos is much more beautiful than Santorini. This is another beautiful hotel. It can be said to be very good in all aspects. I live on the first floor, right outside the door is the swimming pool and pool restaurant. Because it is on the top of a mountain, the scenery is great when having breakfast. As for the shortcomings, apart from being a little expensive, it is a bit far from the main commercial street, nearly a kilometer walk. Furthermore, the sound insulation between the upper and lower floors is not good, which is reflected in the sound of water pipes and the sound of dragging things upstairs.

The service attitude of the hotel front desk is very good. Zakynthos is not highly commercialized and it is difficult to get a taxi. The hotel provides taxi calling and car rental services, but the quality of the taxi drivers is hard to say. The ones my friend and I encountered were relatively poor. It is recommended to rent a car by yourself, which is more convenient. In addition, the hotel's garden view rooms facing the swimming pool cannot connect to the hotel wifi, and there is no signal on the mobile phone in the room, which is very inconvenient. The front desk explained that the wifi is too far away. The room decoration is a bit old, but the view of the swimming pool is great.

The rooms are relatively new and modern, unlike the old hotels in Europe. They are clean and sanitary, with complete facilities. The hotel is located by the sea and has a beautiful view of the sea.

We have just returned from our second visit to this beautiful hotel. Yet again we had a wonderful, relaxing week enjoying the stunning location, wonderful, friendly guest-focused service and superb breakfast and dinner at the Al Nur restaurant. The housekeeping, reception, and restaurant staff are very friendly and nothing seems too much trouble for them. A particular thank you to Angeleta who runs breakfast and the restaurant during the day. The new infinity pool was a wonderful surprise and really took our experience up another notch as we enjoyed those stunning views across the island and beyond. Thank you.

We have just returned from a wonderful week staying at the Ionian Hill Hotel. We requested an early check in, due to arriving early in the morning and this was accommodated without any issues. The hotel is set on a hill overlooking Zakynthos town and parts of Agassi, along with fantastic views of the sea. Our room was beautiful, clean and compact with a balcony and magnificent views of the sea. We had fresh towels and our bed made daily. The staff are exceptional, a warm welcome from the reception team and a good selection of breakfast in the morning, the lady that runs the breakfast is wonderful, warm and friendly, I recommend the homemade marmalade, so tasty. We ate 3 nights in the restaurant Al Nur, which is part of the Hotel, the food was fantastic, I highly recommend eating there, the evening waitress and waiter were great, really attentive and great customer service. We ended each evening with cocktails from the bar when we returned from eating out, both the Zakynthian Sunset and Al Nur Tafathalo are wonderful and a perfect accompany to the nighttime view of Zakynthos. We have stayed in several Hotels over the past in Zakynthos and this by far was the best. Thank you to all of the staff, you made our holiday truly wonderful, we will be back! xx

A charming hotel for its location, the wonderful view of Zante, the delicious breakfast, the comfortable room with a balcony, the super attentive staff, and Katerina Kokla, who recommended and booked two memorable boat tours for us!

Perfect boutique hotel a 15 minute walk from one of the best seaside towns on the island. Hotel is clean, rooms are nice, modern and very quiet. Hotel grounds and views are fantastic over the sea and Zakynthos town. Swimming pool area is lovely with the bar area next to it which is also great for breakfast.

Loved the location, the view from our balcony and breakfast place was stunning. The staff was extra friendly and helpful, nice breakfast. Room was cleaned every day by lovely ladies. We felt very welcome there!

The hotel is very good, quite new, with good service and a pool with a wonderful view. Although we stayed on the first floor without an elevator, I have no complaints. Breakfast is served buffet-style with a lot of variety and is located by the pool, so we had a great view of the city first thing in the morning. On our last day, we had a very early flight and wouldn't have been able to have breakfast, which only starts at 8 am, so they left a box with tasty treats for us to have in the room. The restaurant is also very good; it's worth spending a night there to enjoy it, or even a happy hour to watch the sunset, which is beautiful.
