The breakfast experience makes for a bad start to the day. One coffee machine which is also the only source of hot water, so every morning every guest, queue's for approximately 20 minutes just to get a cup of tea or coffee. One morning one of the staff asked people in the queue if they were having tea as she could get them a tea pot of hot water for their table, which of course makes sense and was really appreciated by everyone in the queue, however this morning when I asked one of the staff could I have a pot of hot water she gave me an unhappy stare, and left only to return with an empty pot. I was confused, which was apparent, at which point she realised what I had asked for, and said out loud in Italian ”oh she expects me to fill it FOR her”, apparently judging me for not wanting to join the 20 minute morning misery line. She didn't realise of course, that my Italian partner was standing right beside me, and understood what she had said (in front of all the other guests). He immediately complained to one of the other ladies, who is lovely, and she was very kind and got some hot water from the kitchen. It was so uncomfortable however and I was embarrassed. If my partner hadn't been there I would have been the butt of this woman's joke, all for asking for just one small thing. Advice for management: COVID has clearly put things under pressure for the team, which is nobody's fault. If you source a second hot water dispenser you will cut the morning queue down quite quickly and all the guests will thank you for it. Because the rooms are a bit dated, bed's uncomfortable, and aircon extremely loud, the one thing that needs to be exceptional is service. I was really embarrassed by my experience this morning. My most basic expectation from a hotel is to be able to easily access a cup of tea or coffee in the morning, and I don't expect someone to try and humiliate me with my morning cup of tea

It’s just not good, it’s too good for vacation. The room is perfect. The entire corner of the manor is very clean. Although the front desk has a strange accent, it is a very reassuring resort hotel. The little castle just happened to have a wedding. It took a very nice and quiet day. Everything is very good, breakfast is not much, but it is delicious. The set menu of 70 euros for dinner is recommended. In addition to the location, there is no great scenery. The hotel is very good.

This place has been everything we wanted and more. We choose this place because we thought it was modern and had a good breakfast but oh boy, it is MUCH MORE THAN THAT. The place has been just refurbished and everything from the moment you get in is clean and with beautiful inspired 50’s / 60’s retro modern decor that just screams COOL! Breakfast is amazing and it has a wide variety of savour and sweet foods that will be more than enough. We asked for a non dairy milk, and after 5 minutes we have Rice Soja and Oats to choose from ❤️ The staff are Incredible helpful and sweet and they are on top of everything. Paying attention to to very little details and that’s what makes such difference in this place. Nothing was left to chance. Bedroom was spacious, modern, the sower with so much pressure, towels clean, everything working round the clock. The common areas are so big and full of board games, sofas comfortable and it’s just a space where You can see beauty and feel you belong all the time. No wonder anymore and come and STAY in this magnificent place. 😉

The room (we had No 106) was modern & very clean, the location great, the parking helpful. Thanks to Tripadvisor we had great dinners in restaurants, all within walking distance. The breakfast at the hotel was certainly Corona-conditioned so reduced: There was toast, ham, cheese and egg per personal allocation. We were there for 1 week - it was the same every day. This could be optimised. We could not use the sauna because of the special opening hours. Unfortunately, our beautiful holiday was spoiled afterwards: We always keep our things in a locked suitcase in hotels when we are not in the room during the day. This was also the case here the whole week. Exception: the day after we went shopping. We hung exactly 4 items in the room so they wouldn't crease. Everything else was in the suitcase or in the car. One of the clothes we bought, for which we have a receipt, did not arrive at home and could only have stayed in the hotel. In whatever way. What a pity. Maybe it will turn up...

Set in a peaceful area close to a lovely little town called Sesto Calende. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely balcony overlooking woodland. As it is out of the way, they also sell plated meals at reasonable prices which can be heated in their kitchen area, if you don’t want to head out. Lovely staff, will definitely return.

I saw this villa in a photo and knew I needed to see it for myself and it did not disappoint. Located just North of Milian overlooking Lake Maggiore it was just breathtaking. The gardens upon arrival were stunning. The old-world exterior is very well-kept and allows you to take a historical trip back in time. Receiving Staff – When I arrived the staff was so warm and inviting. I like that they did have young adults at the front desk. They were super excited to have me and very knowledgeable. Everything I thought I might want they were there to make the arrangements. From a private boat service to dinner with the GM that gave me an amazing culinary experience to included true interaction with the head chef and kitchen staff. My every wish was their command. Room Configuration – My room blew me away. It just happened to be in my favorite color pallet lavender. Large room with a beautiful balcony facing the amazing Lake Maggiore. The bathroom was so spacious with a jacuzzi tub which I took advantage of and a large sitting area. Turndown Service – This was the standard service with the pillow removal and robes and slippers with bedside towel and water and sweet treat. Breakfast – This was an experience in itself. The food was so fresh you could really appreciate the pure taste of each item. The was such a large variety of things to choose from. I could have spent half of my day there dining. Seated on the outside terrace again overlooking Lake Maggiore and the stunning gardens make for a quaint esthetic. Hotel Location – I initially was intimidated about how to get to this property. After speaking to the concierge and they provided several options I decided to go with a private car service. This allowed us to see several of the sights along the way. When I left, however, I did decide to try the train service back to Milan. It was very simple the train station was only 1 min from the hotel and the train ride was 1hr and the cost was 14 Euro. In fact everything was very good. Breakfast perfect. The food in the Last Hall restaurant could be a better ticket, for example, not being served hard. Additional cost for the deep garage parking place of € 19 /Tag, in a few parking places on the hotel area, is already sporty especially when booking, As far as I remember, it is not expressly mentioned and no hidden costs would be expected. So look carefully.
