Sanctuary Rarotonga on the Beach (Adults Only)

Was a beautiful hotel, the staff were so amazing & really really friendly would definitely recommend

Cleaners failed to clean the room properly but didn't bother me too much just plates on the table from room service ect but other then that it was some what good service. I needed a charger and got told to go across town when I just checked the service station a min away which had one. The pool was nice but since it's adults only you'll find alot more older people 60-75 then younger people which is not the most ideal thing for a guy in his 30s. The hotel was amazing I had the honey moon suite and spent more time there then I thought due to the room. Also they have the best beach for snorkeling period hands down great private beach which gives me a 4/5 star review. Breakfast is very basic.

Good things: 1. they let you use hotel facilities during your check out day. 2. Clean 3. The private beach Bad things: 1. paid WiFi (in 2025) 2. VERY poor breakfast. 3. Issues during check-in

Breakfast was great. Tables werent cleaned when people finished. Tables still dirty next morning. Outside tables not cleaned or set up in the mornings.

Loved my stay here!! It was so tranquil and cool to have The Rarotongan next door for games and a busier atmosphere. Loved the amenities being right outside the rooms to take straight into the beach. There were so many activities each day there’s something for everyone. The staff were amazing - shoutout to Mark and Akuela. I’ll definitely be back. Meitaki

This resort is in desperate need of a renovation, the staff seem to be lost, and there is not much else nearby. First of all, they took a very long time to process my initial payment although it was shown as “paid”. Then, I had exchanged numerous e-mails explaining to them that we needed a downstairs beachfront suite due to my partner’s mobility issue. They had assured me that we would be given a downstairs beachfront suite. Upon arrival late at night we were given an upstairs suite and when I protested they eventually gave us a beachfront suite but on the far side of the resort away from the beach, while they kept handing the best downstairs beachfront suites to other couples that were arriving as we waited. The pool of the Sanctuary was not worth visiting and we did not use it during our stay. The food was basic and the general state of the resort was run down. Stay somewhere else like in the Muri Bay Area which has better accommodation and more things to do nearby.

Absolutely love staying at the Rarotongan…Service is fantastic, Staff are delightful and always happy, Best lagoon on the island and beautiful sunsets….

Everything was very beautiful! The marine reserve in front of the hotel was amazing!
