I recently had my third stay at the Berkeley. The hotel itself is a beautiful old structure, with lots of places to gather with friends. The rooms are clean and adequate. The location couldn’t be more perfect, right across the street from the ocean and boardwalk. The staff remains the best group of people I have ever had the opportunity to stay with. Everyone is helpful, honestly friendly, professional and good at their job. You actually feel taken care of. It feels good to vacation here. This trip I came with a friend who is in a scooter or wheelchair and we rented an accessible room. I won’t go into all the details regarding accessibility, but there were numerous obstacles. The door was just wide enough, but the shower was inaccessible to someone in a wheelchair. Grab bars are needed. A shower chair was available. when I asked. So, depending your disability , this room has many obstacles to make it more difficult.
