That was honestly a genuine surprise. The negative reviews here does not do it justice. The onsen facility although old, is still one of the best in terms of water qualities. The hotel also has a nice lounge with limitless refills on coffee, tea and soft drinks.
I would highly highly recommend people to chose to stay here if coming by ASO.

ロビーや食堂の室温が寒く、初日の夕食はその旨伝えたが寒いままで残念だった。部屋の暖房も弱かった印象。温泉は源泉かけ流しだが、一方で７階まであげるのにぬるくなってしまうということで確かにぬるかった。 料理は初日は少なく感じたが、2日目はボリュームがあった。ただ、鍋の火力が弱くなかなか焼けずに困った。 食堂の外にラウンジとして、ドリンク、お酒、お菓子が無料のコーナーがあり、これは使いやすくありがたかった。ロビーには暖炉があり雰囲気は良い。

所々に古さはあるが、綺麗にリフォームされている印象。スタッフもフレンドリーで親切。夕食は赤牛などの郷土料理が並び、量は控えめ。 ラウンジではソフトドリンク、アルコール、お菓子が飲み食べ放題で嬉しい。夕食後にはジャージーアイスクリームやプリン、ぜんざいなども並ぶ。 ただし館内の空調が効きづらく、とにかく寒かった…。レストランではダウンを着ている人もいたほど。大浴場と露天風呂もかなりぬるめで、もう少し温かければもっと快適だったと思う。
