Reviews of Aso No Shiki

The service was excellent, and the food was good too. The only downside was the shower water pressure, which was too low, and sometimes there was no water at all, which really detracts from the experience.

Very much enjoyed the hospitality. The staff is super friendly and the food served is excellent. Highly recommended.

This is a small ryokan. It’s very clean as no shoes are allowed. Both breakfast and dinner are decent. Served as a set. One thing to note is there’s no bathroom in the room, only toilet. Can only shower at the onsen.

Love the service of this Ryokan. Every staffs are so happy and helpful. Breakfast and dinner was so good. Their Onsen is really nice! Will go back again.

I was worried it wouldn't feel like a ryokan since there were only Western-style bedrooms, but it was incredibly cozy and satisfying! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the breakfast and dinner were delicious.

This inn was amazing! We even added an extra night. Our room had a view of Mount Aso, and dinner was a BBQ with Japanese side dishes. The innkeepers, a loving couple, were incredibly attentive and caring, especially considering we had a child. The four private hot springs, each with its own unique style, were fantastic. This small inn had everything you could need, with impeccable attention to detail and impeccable cleanliness. Even the slippers we wore each day were labeled with the guests' room names. Staying at the foot of Mount Aso allowed us to explore at a leisurely pace. With the extra day, we also visited Takachiho, ate Miyazaki beef, and enjoyed a great inn!

Great place to see Mount Aso and experience Japanese ryokan culture. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Some of the facilities are a bit outdated, but it's worth the price. Parking is also very convenient.

The hostess was very kind, and dinner was delicious. She even gave me rice balls for lunch. The hot springs were also nice.

There are a total of 7-8 guest rooms, but there are four free private hot springs, which can be used at will!

The environment was elegant, and the service was excellent. Although I didn't understand some of their spoken language, gestures made communication perfectly fine. The tatami mats were very comfortable, and the hot spring was also great! 👍

A pleasant surprise during my trip to Aso. Dinner was unforgettable, especially the wagyu beef. I ordered two extra portions. Breakfast was also excellent, a very traditional Japanese meal. They even thoughtfully gave me salmon gimbap when I left. The onsen experience was also very interesting, with several different bath styles. I highly recommend staying overnight at Aso for anyone passing through.

The hotel is in Miyaji, so it's recommended if you're going to Aso Shrine. I especially recommend taking a taxi from the station to the hotel. If you have luggage, it's still a bit far to walk.

Thanks to the Aso Medical Center staff, I had a wonderful holiday! Everything was perfect. I want to visit again.
