Hotels in Asprouliani Reviews

My husband and I visited for his birthday and had a lovely time. I had contacted the hotel beforehand and asked for a double bed which they provided. I have to agree with other reviewers that it was extremely comfortable. We ended up with a family room with bunk beds in which was strange but useful for bags and the room as a whole was great. Breakfast was full and my husband loved the full English. We were full board and the roof top restaurant was comfortable with a great view. Food was plentiful and good quality. The pool was big enough to have a decent swim and with enough sun beds when we visited. The hotel was a small step to the beach which was clean with easy swimming. It was a nice touch to have yoga classes and again there was a great view. A little too hot for the small gym. We did try the jacuzzis though. The staff were all really friendly. My niggles are that the hotel advertises that it has parking and wanting to travel the island we had a car. Unfortunately when we arrived it transpired that there is only parking on the road. I'm not sure how convenient that would be in peak times but we did manage to park. This is a hotel I would recommend as they have updated and upgraded and as such I would expect beach towels and safe to be factored into the overall price. Just a thought. Overall thank you for a great stay.

This was our seventh year back again to Vardis. It meets all our summertime relax needs - modern facilities on family-owned olive grove, close (500m walk) to nice, lesser known Cretan beaches. Good cooking, with lots of variability including some favorites but also some lesser-know traditional dishes. Air-conditioning (optional), good services - cleaning, maintenance and upkeep - run and managed as a warm, family business always attentive to (and remembering) customer needs. In our first visit to the beaches of Kavros many years ago, we stayed in a nearby hotel/pension, no airconditioning so had to keep windows of room open all night, with drunken reveling a few meters below preventing any possibility of sleep. Tried Vardis the following year, and have not looked back since.
