Usually better.
Left the number with the reservations department. Waited for a call for over 30 minutes.
Finally got through on the 5th try.
There was no welcome note or compliment in the room.
No one offered drinks until I called an hour later.
There were no disposable razors.
The room has some drawbacks.
Of the easily fixable ones, this is the rolled-up sofa, which looks terrible, and the carpets are stained.
Of the hard-to-fix ones, this is the water pressure in the sink and the faucets themselves. The water flows very far from the person, close to the sink, and this is very inconvenient.
It is not entirely clear why there are no toilet brushes. Yes, thanks for the service. But when you are relaxing with a girl, you cannot clean up the unpredictable lines inside the toilet. This can cause awkward situations.

The service and room were beyond expectations, very good, and the layout was very comfortable. The breakfast was also very rich, and the swimming experience in the morning was very good. 1) My wife signed up for an expensive procedure with the SPA one day in advance... since we were in Astana for 3 days and wanted to do everything, the schedule was clearly scheduled.

One of the best hotels in Central Asia, it has been open for five or six years but it doesn't look old, it looks like it has only been open for one or two years. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped with some small details of Kazakh ethnic flavor. If you are seeking luxury in Astana, this is the place to book. Exceptional service, rooms, cleanliness... it is a beautiful and extraordinarily comfortable retreat. Only thing is that I never saw a butler during our entire 2 night stay... and this is something St Regis is known for. Nevertheless, we received top level service from the well trained, professional, and fluent English speaking staff. Nothing to complain about regarding service. I booked 2 suites through AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts, and we were graciously upgraded to a suite with river view, and the other to a larger size suite. Both were beautiful and well appointed. We enjoyed the high quality breakfast very much. Had dinner at Asakusa Izakaya and La Riviere. Neither seemed terribly authentic to me... they were more trendy than authentic. The food was decent, not fantastic, prices were, as expected, on the higher side... but overall good service at both. We really enjoyed the special Nauryz event they hosted in the lobby, featuring live music and traditional snacks. It was elegantly done and beautiful. I highly recommend this property, and would definitely choose to stay here again if I ever make it back to Astana.
