Reviews of Hotel Zuiyo of Yugawara

Hot springs, service, cleanliness, and food were all excellent.

I suspect the hotel only partially renovated the lobby and changing areas in the bathhouse; the rooms and bathtubs are very old, making it extremely overpriced. Since we arrived after 7 PM, we discovered the hotel offered absolutely no food or drinks; we could only buy instant noodles at the front desk. The hotel's location is very remote, and the mountain roads are dark and narrow, making even a short walk nearby difficult. There are few attractions in the area, so I wouldn't recommend choosing this area.

The building is not new, but it is well-maintained and reasonably priced. Yukatas are provided in the rooms, but there were also colored yukatas and obi sashes for women available in the lobby, so guests could choose their own. A self-service water dispenser, tea bags, and coffee are also available in the lobby. The shampoo bar in the bathroom was very nice. The amenities were also extensive, and the wide selection of skincare products was very helpful. I was especially pleased that the hair dryers in the women's makeup area next to the hot spring were Repronizer and Refa. There was also a Refa hair iron. The hair dryers in the rooms were also Saronia, so I felt that they had thought carefully about what women would appreciate, compared to ordinary inns and hotels. Tea, detox water, and ice were also available in the changing areas. (In both the men's and women's baths)
