Hotel Resorpia Atami

The sea view room was amazing! The room was spacious and very clean, and the shuttle service was super convenient. We visited so many places and watched the sunrise every day. Absolutely fantastic, we'll definitely be back to stay again! I've already recommended it to my friends.

On our second day in Atami, we switched to the Resorpia Hotel by the sea. Since we were coming from another onsen hotel, we took a taxi directly to the 1st floor. Guests can only access this hotel by walking down from the 9th floor on the hill. The location is fantastic; we could see the ocean right from our room's balcony. The next morning, we could even watch the 'Tangerine Sea' sunrise 🌅 from bed. The public bath is on the 5th floor. It's a bit of a shame there's no open-air onsen, so you can only enjoy the view through the window while bathing. The hotel offers a shuttle service to Atami Station, but you need to book it in advance. The facilities are a bit dated, but the hygiene is still very good. Overall, it offers decent value for money.

The room was quite spacious and well-equipped, clean and hygienic. The bed, towels, and bedding were all very good. The main highlight was the large room with beautiful views, and watching the sunrise in the morning was absolutely fantastic. The hotel also has its own hot spring that you can enjoy anytime.

The breakfast was really lavish, featuring local specialty sashimi and seafood rice, along with grilled fish and other dishes. I drove myself, and the parking lot is on the hillside next to the hotel, requiring a few minutes' uphill walk. As for the environment, the hotel is generally quite old, and it seems most places there might be a bit aged. However, the rooms all offer sea views, which is a nice touch. The onsen area is quite simple, somewhat resembling a public bathhouse.

The hotel itself is a bit far from Atami Station, but there's a shuttle bus. The surroundings are beautiful. However, the balcony of our non-smoking room had a solid wall, not the railing shown in the pictures. The sunrise, which should have been stunning, was completely ruined by this stone wall. Plus, you can't walk around downstairs at the hotel. The only upside is that the room was quite spacious. Otherwise, there aren't many advantages, and the value for money is just average.
