Room was good and service better than what we got when we booked directly with them. That was a big surprise. Trip booking resulted in a better service than the direct booking.

Reception was very friendly during check-in and staff for breakfast was very nice. The facilities were alright for us. I'm not sure if it was just our room or the entire building but there was this constant "smoke" smell during our stay that was very difficult to ignore in our room. They did offer us to change a room but after walking around the floor and lobby, might of been just a smell that was throughout the building. There was a used orange drink in our fridge which could of been easily missed by the maids but was a little concerning what else might of been missed. Again all minor issues that would not stop me from staying there again if needed.

This is such a great value and service hotel. The concierge boys are supremely helpful. House keeping also well done. The room and the bathroom very spacious. Design of the shower is not the best as water leaks out make the bathroom floor wet. Buffet breakfast has a great selection of local type food and view of the acropolis. The Athens city centre is quite run down in general so although the neighbourhood don't feel that great I'm not sure if it's particular to this hotel or just Athens city centre in general.

The room I got didn’t have a good sound proof. Also on my last night of staying the hotel, I came back to my room and saw my room door was open. Luckily I didn’t lose anything. I told the reception the next day when checking out, the staff apologised and said it might be a mistake made by the housekeeping staff. Overall, I didn’t feel it was a 5 star hotel, maybe 3 or 4 star were more appropriate.

My room was not thoroughly cleaned. The bathroom sink was not properly wiped down. The beds were small and the bedspread and sheets could only be pulled up to chest level. I was pretty disappointed with the beds and bedding.
The property needs a major refresh and upgrades.
