Royal Olympic Hotel

This hotel was in the perfect spot if you want to be close to Acropolis and lots of cafes and eateries within walking distance. Also only a short 7-10min walk to Syntamgue square and more shops. The restaurant has an awesome view of Parthenon and breakfast bar you could spend all day eating all your fave foods. Always got a seat at the pool area and a very clean hotel. Any issues you can discuss with the staff and happy to accommodate if able. Thanks for making our first visit to Athens a pleasant experience.

As soon as you walk into the hotel your met with about 20people standing by the door smoking it’s like a sea of smoke. Hotel smalls of cigarettes. Dinner on roof top great view but extremely over priced especially when there’s a cockroach walking along your table. Service the only friendly person was the cleaner. First impression of Greek people was rude and unhappy! The room outdated tv that didn’t work and couldn’t even make a cuppa in the room. Hairdryer was from about 20yrs ago!. View from balcony was a wall!

Staff not very friendly or informative, breakfast was rubbish and the guy who seated us was very rude , the room was from the 50s, no hot water , no kettle or coffee machine , we left our room at 9 am the room attendant asked if we wanted our room serviced (well it's supposed to be 5 star ) we got back at 3pm still not cleaned . The bar service at the pool was pretty much none existent, you had to go to a window they opened it a bit asked what you wanted took payment then after a while brought it out to you . I would definitely say this is not a 5 star hotel

Over rated rooms old and bathroom under all critic didn’t clean my room between two days stay

This hotel claims to be five star but the quality of the rooms are very poor. First night I was put in a room with no furniture but just a bed. The bedsheets were ripped and the room was not anything like the pictures posted online. When I complained the staff said this was the executive suite. Next morning when I visited the reception desk the staff then moved me to a different room which at least had furniture and a desk. However the seals to the double glazing unit were totally gone so you heard all the road traffic constantly. Sockets fixtures were loose on the wall and unsafe. I would not stay at this hotel again and would not recommend this place.

Probably one of the best locations in the city of Athens. The staff is excellent and truly works miracles to provide the best possible service despite the building being quite old. Breakfast on the terrace is a great choice, although the access is outdated and presents a high risk in case of an emergency. It was probably an excellent property forty years ago; today it performs well mainly thanks to the staff. The food at the rooftop restaurant, which is also where breakfast is served, is very good. Unfortunately, there are no outlets available for charging phones or laptops. Overall, it’s acceptable—there are certainly worse places in Europe.

Lovely hotel. Well situated and the roof top restaurant is amazing. Unfortunately the ladies at reception are LESS than friendly, to the point of being rude. I suppose we all have bad days, and maybe that was the case. However if hospitality is your chosen career, and front of office your position, ….:otherwise defiantly an amazing hotel which we are grateful to have experienced.
