Olvia Suites

The apartment had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke. My wife could not breathe (and didn’t sleep with the smell of cigarettes). My kids had to sleep on a sofa (not a sofa bed). It was not prepared, although the host knew we were a family of four (4). Under the sofa was dusty. It shows that the apartment wasn’t cleaned this year :( The place is close to dirty road, with many pigeons.  It was a horrible experience :(

Great location, safe neighborhood, spacious room. We love this hotel and will be back next time we’re in Athens! The hotel is a short taxi ride to Acropolis, Acropolis Metro stop, USA Embassy, and walkable to several wonderful restaurants. It is in a safe neighborhood with many stores, pedestrians, and close to main streets. The penthouse suite is New York style with city and mountain views, spacious with king size bed (2 twins together), kitchenette, and shower and toilet are separated in 2 different bathrooms which provides better usage. The shower is an American sized shower which is fitted for larger and taller sized people. The room has air conditioning and heating; we used the heating and it works great! Breakfast brought on a tray to your room. The room has 10 feet by 10 feet wall with hidden, built in shelves for storage. Panagiotis at front desk speaks fluent English and multiple languages, knows good restaurants and hot spots around town, and is most helpful!

This hotel is not a 4* hotel, i don't understand why google allows it to say it is. This is a 2* at most. The rooms are tiny and stuffy, the beds way too soft and lumpy, the pillows brown and stained under the pillowcase. There is no communal lounge space, only 2 chairs that are unstable underneath your bodyweight and a cheap sofa next to the check in desk. A small, basic, non-hot breakfast will be brought to your room each morning. There were cockroaches in the room and no full curtains on the highest level rooms. Just some paper stuck over the windows to cover the light. Rooms are fitted with 'kitchens' with no cutlery, glassware or plates/bowls, just a cooking pan. Way too overpriced for the quality, avoid this terrible hotel. The pictures are not accurate at all.

Great small hotel in very central location, very close to the metro station. Staff is very friendly and helpful if there are any questions. The room was a bit small, but there was so much to do that I didn't spent much time in the hotel anyway. Small shop, Café and bar around the corner.
