This was perhaps the best bed and breakfast experience my husband and I have ever had ! The house is full of antiques and history (shared by the generous and gracious owners) while being wonderfully comfortable and welcoming. The Garden Room, while small, was immaculate and well-appointed. And the breakfasts! Chatting with other guests and dear manager host Kathryn was a perfect way to start our days in Atlanta.

My wife and I had a wonderful 'staycation' at the Sugar Magnolia Bed & Breakfast. We are locals but enjoyed a weekend getaway where we could recharge and reconnect. The home is lovely and warm and we felt very welcomed by Kathryn, the innkeeper and Debi, one of the owners, when we had a chance to chat with her briefly one evening. Perhaps one of the highlights was the opportunity to connect with the other guests staying at the home at the time over two absolutely delicious breakfasts. While our stay was brief, it was wonderful and we look forward to another stay in the future!

This was our second stay at the Sugar Magnolia. First time we were in the cottage, this time the Garden Room. We found the room very clean and comfortable. It is minutes away from downtown and within walking distance (5 minutes) to the Krog Market. Our host Kathryn, was wonderful, from serving us breakfast to giving us recommendations for sightseeing and dining. Just to show you how much she cares about guests, she surprised us on the night/day of departure. We had to leave by 3:30 AM. Kathryn was feeling bad that we would have to miss breakfast, so on our last evening when we returned to our room, we found orange juice, fruit, cereal, and milk. We couldn't have asked for more from our host. The B&B itself is a beautiful 130+ year old Victorian. If you love old houses you will appreciate just walking through this B&B. If you want a Waldorf experience, stay at a Waldorf. If you want a pleasant memorable experience, stay at the Sugar Magnolia. We will, next time in Atlanta.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location is great - a 15 minute uber drive from downtown Atlanta and walking distance to a lot of shops and places to eat. The bed-and-breakfast is extremely cozy. I stayed in the garden room, which was very clean and comfortable. Most importantly, I absolutely loved the hospitality, and Kathryn cooks a spectacular breakfast to suit your needs and tastes (she made sure to avoid milk products due to my lactose intolerance).

My husband and I loved our 3 night stay at this beautiful Victorian in a great location. Our king bed was super comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious and included lively conversation with other guests, and Kathryn was especially warm and helpful. We have recommended this charming place to all our friends and family.

OMG what a find. Kathryn was so accommodating, made us a yummy breakfast and the B&B is walking distance from the Sweet Auburn MLK sites and v close to Krog St food court for dinner. Why stay in a horrid modern downtown hotel when you can stay here in style?

I stay at this lovely location and facility every time I visit Atlanta, which have been several, but not enough. The owners, Jim and Debi, are wonderful people and have thought through so many comforts and amenities. The innkeeper, Kathryn, is a joy with every interaction, anticipating guests' needs and wants before we're even aware of them. The breakfasts are wonderful, the ambience regal but relaxed, and the personal touches are evident with every step through the place. I've stayed in all of their rooms over the years and while unique, they are all beautifully appointed and cared for; and they never disappoint. Should you visit this exciting city, do not pass up a stay at the Sugar Magnolia.

Excellent location for walking to local restaurants. The B&B was charming and relaxing and breakfast was always served with a smile. Speaking of smiles, Kathryn, our hostess, made sure we had everything we needed. She also made helpful recommendations for places to visit and places to dine.

The cottage suite worked well for us. A few steps from the main inn in which we had breakfast and also enjoyed sitting and reading. The location was close to a lot of attractions by car. The innkeeper, Kathryn, was very pleasant and helpful during our 5 days there. I highly recommend this B & B
