We were greeted with friendly front door staff evertime we entered the hotel. The front reception/sitting area is rather large and the fire place was on making for a warm reception on this chilly evening. The room itself is very nice, the kitchen has two burners, a microwave, a full fridge and dishes for a family of four as well as pots and pan. There is a desk area with space to spread out and a lamp. The sofa is a hotel sofa, so stiff and not too comfy but clean. The large TV is in between the sofa and bed so it could be seen from either but would need to be turned. A turntable for the TV would be a nice addition. The shower was clean with glass sliding doors and shower gel/conditioner and shampoo available. The water was very hot! It was a really nice shower. The bed was comfortable, pillows are a tad too soft for me, but there are two so you can pile them up. The room AC is adjustable and definitely heated and cooled well. The room was vacuumed and appeared clean, but was dusty behind the TV (we had to pull it out as the cable was misbehaving) and the bottom of the lamps/baseboards are dusty. The free breakfast was nice! Sometimes the hotel breaksfasts are meager. This was not. First day was biscuits, gravy, sausage, pre made omelets (slightly rubbery), oatmeal with fruit, brown sugar and nuts, yogurt, cereal, boiled eggs, OJ, coffee, milk and tea. Second day was grits instead of oatmeal and potatoes instead of biscuits. The ladies in the breakfast area are soo sweet. One of them told me today that they take care of their customers and this is the best Homewood suites, she just wishes she could stay here :). apparently you can't stay if you work here. They were So kind and attentive. If we ever ran into staff they smiled and were kind. My husband said to me ”they must have good management to have staff who appear happy”. In the eating area: The seats were clean, available and no crumbs etc on the tables. Outside the parking lot is well lit, but some of the parking lot is a dirt lot which was not as nice. Overall I am very grateful to have found this hotel. GREAT stay. It was too cold to even think about the hotel pool...so I don't know and did not visit the gym. I did notice that there were construction workers staying here, and using the grill out back two evenings we were here. I thought that was great that they had that as an option. It says something that people are staying here for long term stays. I saw a travel nurse here as well. You can't go wrong staying here! I saw one of the negative reviews, she was NOT reviewing this hotel. She must have picked the wrong one to review by accident. This is a nice hotel!

Pros: friendly staff, room was spacious and clean, everything worked, wifi good, public areas were clean, plenty of parking. The hotel was fairly empty. Washing machine looked new. Cons: the chair for the desk was an ordinary chair and was too low for the desk. The entrance from the street isn’t well marked. The parking lot is sloped downward, which gives it charm, but loading a luggage cart and pulling it up to the door is difficult. General: no breakfast. Probably most hotels are like that these days. Overall: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Wifi: 5/5

Very clean hotel. Beds are extremely comfy! The front desk agent Joy was very helpful and most attentive almost felt like a concierge experience. The hotel is a new construction situated on a medical campus. Across the street from the hotel is one of the top Burn Center hospitals in the country, Doctor’s Hospital of Augusta. I give this hotel four stars out of five.

Very clean hotel! Had a one night just to sleep stay. Pleased with how clean the hotel was. The staff were all very polite. Every staff member we came across said hello. Upon checking in the staff member was super pleasant and very helpful. The suite room 222 we stayed in looked to have new carpet and new furniture. Even the bathroom baseboards were super clean. Had a hot breakfast of eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels and cold things as well. My only take away is the towels were a little rough but I’ll stay again if I was in the area.

My work took me to Augusta and I was booked into this room at, what turned out to be, the perfect spot for me! This hotel is older (but has been updated) and is pet-friendly. There is no actual ”kitchen” in the rooms but there is a microwave, lots of cabinets, and a fridge/freezer that is quite substantial in size. I rarely ”do” fast-food, so was especially pleased with the spacious compartments in the fridge/freezer. This hotel is convenient to I20 and Fort Gordon and very reasonably priced. There are also many options for various types of dining/shopping nearby. This place is also handicapped accessible (including the pool), has laundry room (small, but I never had problems), fitness room (again, small but no issues) and price includes breakfast. Staff is very friendly. I recommended it to two other co-workers and they are also pleased. Travel date options on this review are limited so I will address those here: I was there for three weeks in 03/10, then again (9wks) from late Sept-Thanksgiving. This hotel seems to be popular with construction workers and truckers, but I have seen many different types of travelers during my stays and I was never bothered by outside (nor room-to-room) noise that could disturb my sleep.

I was pleasantly surprised by how large the suite was. There was actual room to move around in the bathroom and plenty of room to spread out my various luggage. I only have a couple minor drawbacks. The king bed was basically a couple of cot frames with a large mattress, which left one side noticeably higher than the other. There was also no appreciable blanket on the bed. It was more like a thin throw blanket, which required me to fetch a fleece blanket from my vehicle to stay warm. The televisions are rather small, which wasn't a huge deal except for the few hours I was in the room, and the sofa was not comfortable to sit on for very long. This was somewhat due to it being a sofa bed, but it was definitely showing its age. These were not very troublesome due to how little time I was in the room each day, but a longer stay would have made these painful to put up with.
