"Beautiful, spacious complex with air-conditioned deluxe rooms, balcony and wellness area. Bicycle storage, underground parking and water treading pool in the garden. Unfortunately, there was no coffee machine in the room."

"The room was good but was very warm. I was given no check in instructions so had to message and ring twice when I got there. There's a river and little park opposite and a lidl 20mins walk away. Bus route goes along this road."

Hotel Erbgericht

"It is a good location for hiking and traveling around the Saxon Switzerland National Park (Königstein, Bastai). It is not directly connected to the famous tourist attractions, but I moved by S Bahn. The interval between buses is long, but it was still comfortable to move. I arrived before 20:00 because they said that check-in was not possible very late, and breakfast was served until 10:00, so I had plenty of time. The service was very friendly, and I had a great trip after receiving recommendations for hiking courses."

Elbhotel Bad Schandau

"We had a great visit to this hotel and would have loved to stay longer. The evnironment is so peaceful. We overnighted here on our way from Berlin to Prague and I wish we had book a few extra days. It was a delightful respite from the bustle of the big cities. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast had lots of interesting options and eating al fresco on the patio was again - peaceful. We had a bar meal as we arrived late to a 3 hour train delay and the food was fresh and well prepared. The bar entertainment was lively and interesting but we retired early so we could hike the next day. The staff was very accomodating even though we arrived late and asked lots of questions in broken German. Herr Luft was a real gem and gave us insight on the local area and helped to plan our activities for the day. Vielen Dank!!! One issue was the AC was limited so I would inquire before booking if the temp is going to be very high. We were lucky to be there before the heatwave hit and we were fine."

"Rooms with parquet flooring are spacious and clean. There's a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, and stovetop, as well as a kettle, capsule coffee machine, small table fan, dishes, and glasses. Plenty of electrical outlets and a television are provided. The room also has a small round table with two leather armchairs. The spacious bathroom has a nice, large shower, which would be perfect for a rain shower. A hairdryer is provided in the wardrobe. The bathroom offers ample storage space and two electrical outlets. The room has a balcony with a small table and two chairs. A bottle of wine was provided in the room – thank you for that. It's Spanish wine, even though the Saxon wine region is nearby. The safe is located in the wardrobe... at the very bottom... you have to kneel down to use it. A definite no-go for older people... this needs to be changed! A small card indicates that there is no regular cleaning. Apparently, too much water would be used for that... emptying the trash, making the beds, and vacuuming the bathroom and room doesn't require any water. Why not just say upfront that there might not be enough staff? The room rate isn't cheap, and you can really expect a certain level of comfort for that price. The breakfast buffet is varied, and items are constantly replenished. Pepper and salt are provided next to cutlery and napkins on the table. They're stingy with sugar, though—there's only a single shaker right next to the coffee machine. A dog in the breakfast room... borderline acceptable! The hotel has an elevator and an underground parking garage with plenty of spaces. There's one parking space for each room. Note: The balcony door doesn't close properly. The curtains need to be hung correctly. The cobwebs above the light in the bathroom should be removed. Since there's no daily room cleaning, a cleaning cloth should be provided for the table and chairs on the balcony."

Hotel Elbpromenade

"The Hotel Elbpromenade is located on the outskirts of Bad Schandau, directly on the banks of the Elbe River. The room was very clean and offered decent amenities (e.g., a mobile tablet in the room). The breakfast was very good and plentiful (scrambled eggs, various jams, cakes, muesli, cold cuts and cheeses, etc.). I also took the opportunity to have dinner in the restaurant once; the food was adequate and appealing, but it lacked that final touch, which I didn't consider a major drawback. The hotel's location is ideal for cycling tours along the Elbe (the Elbe Cycle Path runs right in front of the hotel) and for hiking in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Bohemian Switzerland is also easily accessible and offers many interesting hiking trails. I particularly appreciated the friendly and attentive staff."
