This hotel is in a fantastic location, just up a slope from the pedestrian street. You can stroll downstairs, and if you keep going up, you can walk the entire length of the pedestrian street. You can also walk to two famous hot springs. Drinks and dining are all available along the street. The hotel building itself is a historic structure, reminiscent of a tourist attraction. The interior also has a sense of age. The elevator to the upper floors still has the type of door that opens. The old things are still in use, which is a wonderful touch. It truly feels like staying here is part of the city life. The room I was given was also perfectly situated. As soon as I entered, sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling balcony doors, which was incredibly refreshing. There was also a balcony where I could sit and enjoy the view and bask in the sun. The room was a good size. I ordered a single bed, which was very soft and beautiful. The front desk staff was also very friendly. I stayed for two nights and had a very good experience. I might return next year.
