Tiki Villas Rainforest Lodge - Adults Only

Nancy was the best concierge I've ever had the pleasure to work with. The restaurant and bar staff were so nice and pleasant, and my husband and I had the best experience. Would 100% recommend and would return in a heartbeat.

The view, room, staff, food, .... everything was fantastic. For us the location was ideal as we wanted to explore the area - Nancy gave us some great recommendations and we really helped us enjoyed our time. Your first drive up the hill to the hotel is a little daunting but not a problem after that. We would absolutely stay at TVRL&Spa again and highly recommend.

Visited Osa the 15th time and only 2nd time at Tiki Villas. The location is great, the service and room used to be great. Mismanaged and understaffed. Dissatisfied and disappointed. Why? We stayed in Villa 4 for 7 nights: the shower door doesn’t lock or slide easily, shower is a bit more that dripping, the toilet flushes non-stop, the sliding doors to the balcony lock with difficulty, one of the beds have ants. The railing of the outside shower is rusty and separated from the floor. Service: Staff struggle with food orders, one morning we waited 45 minutes for eggs and bacon, when only 2 tables were occupied. Everyday we were asked if room cleaning is needed, when the room is dusty; towels were changed only when requested, coffee refills replaced only when requested. You get the impression that the owner doesn’t care and this place is being squeezed out of any existing resource. The “end-game” for this place cannot be a bright one, unless maintained and managed. Not again.

Excellent location with breathtaking views. Close to great surfing beaches and small towns. We were able to take advantage of a plethora of outdoor activities all within a short drive. The Tiki Villas were a great place to come back to and relax, watch the monkeys and toucans while sipping a great cocktail.

The Tiki Villas is a lovely resort, and we enjoyed our stay of a few days there. The pool is beautiful with amazing views of the forest and the ocean. The beach is a ten minute walk away. The staff are professional and friendly and made sure we were very comfortable. The food and beverages were amazing too. Lovely place to just relax and enjoy nature ! Keven coordinated our visit and provided loads of information for our stay, Gerald and Christian and the chef managed an excellent service, and Diego helped with our transport etc. thanks to this amazing team !

The location was second to none. The staff was friendly and so accommodating. We left feeling as though we made friends. The overall stay was excellent. The rooms were very nice with wonderful views. They could be updated a bit in the way of mattresses (a bit too firm), bedding and bathroom towels, but we wouldn't let this deter us from going again. It's a very small village and therefore feels as though you're the only ones there much of the time, so you're made to feel special and part of the Villa family. Thanks to Keven, Diego, Gerald, Christian, and the rest of the crew! Really appreciate all you do!

We had just come from the Caribbean side of Costa Rica and stayed at aWà Boutique Hotel. Basically the same price but on a whole different level. (You can read my review on it). I say this only as a comparison of boutique hotels in the same county. Upon arrival, we barely received a “buenos dias to Tiki”, very flat and cold. Once shown the room it was lovely with an amazing view of jungle and ocean. Possibly my mistake in reading about the hotel but basically you need to drive down to the main road and then select a beach up the road if you want to swim as the beach at the bottom of the drive is rocky and not conducive to swimming. There are 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella you can rent at the swimming beach for $15 US. I suppose you could walk down a rather steep rocky road from the hotel to the non swimming beach but not that close and then in the heat and humidity, need to trek back up. Upside, lots of birding from the smallish pool that due to its size made a great, somewhat intimate social spot, where all the guests having similar interest would mingle and tell stories of their outings of the day. Although, there were a couple of times when there weren’t enough lounge chair for all the guest unfortunately. In general, I would say the property felt “tired” such as the missing tiles in the pool, worn out flusher on the toilet, burned out light on patio, sticky sliding door to balcony as well as the staff seemingly unhappy to be working there. Based on the website and just coming from the other hotel, my expectations may have been set too high…

We loved Tiki Villas! One of my favorite things each morning—with ocean waves crashing in the background—was watching the toucans and Fiery-billed aracari visit the lush tropical landscaping around us. The pool was glorious and food was good. With only 9 villas, I loved how quiet it was! Most of all the staff was so kind, informative, and eager to meet our needs. Would definitely stay here again!

Great experience and wonderful, welcoming staff! The rooms could use some comfortable seating inside but having the deck and views are perfect. The restaurant food is delicious, to include the full breakfast offered each morning. Such a relaxing retreat with easy access to towns and beaches.
