After being in a legit 5 stars hotels in both gabala and Quba. Coming to this hotel that claims it’s a 5 star hotel is way beyond standard. The good things about this hotel, the location is in nazmi street and walkable distance to all other shops. The washroom is Arab-friendly if you know what I mean. However, the things that made my stay here unpleasant were the following. 1. The car cant reach the front of the hotel, so you need to walk with your own luggage. 2. The reception is always empty. 3. There’s no security or someone in the reception area, not safe, anyone can walk in and go up to the rooms. 4. The room we got was extremely small, you can barely put your luggage and walk. When I asked to be changed, Gulnara said you don’t pay for room size. Although when you book, the room size was mentioned in the description. Also, there’s a big difference in size between the rooms we got, one was 4 by 3 m2 and the other room is way smaller. *you can check the images for reference* 5. The towel was not clean, it was used. Also when I asked Gulnara that the towels were not clean, she had to send someone to make sure I was saying the truth. 6. Bed sheets and pillowcases were not clean. 8. Rooms are not noise proof. You can hear everything happening in the corridor. You can hear the footsteps of the people upstairs. 7. Door locks need to be changed. It is a hassle to open them every time and they are about to fall from the door. It’s hard to lock the room from the inside as well. 8. When I passed my comments to the receptionist Gulnara, she got defensive. And was not helpful to change the rooms even though many guests in front of me checked out. It is my first time to write such a bad review but this is for my fellow travellers.

Promenade Hotel Baku

Baku Old Town Baku|0.6km from National Museum of History of Azerbaijan
I am still in this hotel and expects to check out next day. First thing first, I booked 2 nights and the first room they allocated was 323. Noisy from karaoke or band till 11.30Pm even with soundproofing. The bed, kingsize but on the right side sank and if you were to roll to the left side you will feel it feels higher and also the design of the toilet is atrocious seemingly clean at a glance but look closer. The toilet hanger is so high up only tall people can reach the towels. I feedback and was given another room 325. It was better but cleanliness of toilet is still substandard. Next, I checked out after the 2nd night when I queried if I could stow my luggage in the hotel to stay in Sheki for 1 night. They accepted to store my luggage. The day after, I return to check in again for 1 more night and this is my last night in this country. When I enquired with the reception about my luggage, he went out of the reception went to the lobby corner and pull my luggage. I was horrified to see all these while it was not stowed properly in a store room but pushed at one corner of the hotel lobby out in the open where there is a lot of traffic. When enquired with the staff why is this so, he did not response and looked *****ic at me. When I arrived from Tbilisi I had encountered attempted theft from tbilisi airport and now this. This is too much stress for a holiday. The reason for choosing this hotel is because they are near the old city and they have a lift. Find elsewhere they have no regards for people's property.

This hotel is in Turkish style, the room is very high, just inside the old city, next to the Maiden Tower. Going out in front is the Caspian Sea, and going out is a pedestrian street. The left and right sides are luxury stores. The hotel waiter is very good. The harvest to Azerbaijan this time is that the people there are fantastic and very kind. It is not very appetizing to eat, every day is beef, lamb, a bit too much to eat.

Our Flight got cancelled due to visa issues, we went to a different hotel called MAAJID HOTEL in old city, Before yesterday we were here for 5 nights, after spending one night in maajid hotel we missed the amenities & luxuries we had in this hotel so early morning we decided to come back to AUSTIN HOTEL BAKU again because its in the heart of baku , every time whether its day or night you look outside the window, you see the world alive in nice dresses & good moods, i would say its the HILTON HOTEL OF VEGAS in Baku. No scam at all but please book this hotel only through trip.com because trip.com get you half price, i came here personally to check the price for a room , they quoted me a $100 night which is reasonable but i opened trip.com app & found the same room price in just $50 a night then i try to book & its done in just 1 minute. No Scam No overcharge Very friendly staff Staff is so good like they talk to you like they are your family members. I am very impressed, i will visit this hotel again & again & again but only through trip.com

The only good thing about this hotel is the location next to Fountain Square and the included parking. Furthermore the hotel is old, tired, ill maintained, dirty and hardly deserves one star. The four stars came through corruption which is everywhere in this country. The first room on the backside of the hotel on the third floor was so bad that we got another room on the fourth floor. That was probably the suite of the hotel. This room has the view on Fountain Square, but the floor moves as if the beams are broken/rotten. The bathroom smelled and actually nothing is clean or new. The chair in the room had a loose leg en de bedside lamps almost fell apart. For the last night we had to move to another room. Again on the third floor (305), but on the frontside of the hotel. This room had a terrible sqeaking bed with worn out matrasses and an ill maintained bathroom. Breakfast in this hotel is of no any standard. very little choice, blue boiled eggs, products from the day(s) before (not fresh). The elevator didn't work a couple of times, so going up and down by stairs. The hotel staff hardly speaks English. If you don't care about the place to sleep, but want a perfect location in Baku choose this hotel, but if you care just a little about the accommodation: find another hotel !!

A family boutique hotel, quiet in a quiet location adjacent to Nizami Street, bustling with life and lively. Perfect location within walking distance to all the attractions, close to the old city, the promenade, etc. I stayed there for three enjoyable weeks. Amazing staff Turan, Ibrahim and the lovely Rashid, attentive to every request and help with everything needed with patience and kindness. The room is modest but has everything needed for a long and short stay Comfortable bed, hot water and strong current in the shower, electric kettle, refrigerator, TV, air conditioner, shower products. And very clean, with no aftertaste. The breakfast is modest, enough to start the day. The hotel has a good restaurant and excellent black beer. This is the hotel for me also for the next time when I arrive.

Sapphire city never fails to impress with its warm hospitality and impeccable service. From the moment we arrive, the reception staff welcomes us like family, setting the tone for a delightful stay. The hotel's cleanliness is outstanding, reflecting the dedication of the staff. Despite the occasional noise from the city center, the friendly demeanor of the staff more than compensates. Highly recommended for a memorable and comfortable stay.
