The room is large, clean and tidy, the service is thoughtful, you can enjoy the sea view and the sea breeze while sitting by the window, it is a very good hotel

The hotel is quite beautiful, which means I am quite satisfied with it. Especially when there are performances in the evening, it feels lively and has a vacation-like atmosphere. According to the standards of Golden Diamond, I think it is still a bit not good enough. For example, the breakfast restaurant is simple in decoration. I spent four nights at this hotel, in a very nice area of Rio. Great facilities: magnificent rooms (standard), excellent bed and linen, very nice swimming pool (heated) with gorgeous views, pleasant common area, etc. The management, however, is not so good. Nothing serious or terrible, but not what you would expect from a Hilton hotel. E.g.: I was supposed to receive a free big bottle of water in my room, as part of the arrangement for my group; I did not received it and I was told that I should pay for it if I wanted it; in addition, I was asked, when checking our, to pay for 2 bottles! (when I ordered just one). I complained and no charge was made finally but it gave me a poor impression about the level of care for the details one would expect in a hotel of this category. Moreover, in a place what you cannot drink water from the tap safely, the management should provide with courtesy drinking water for every guest, as is usual in most places. About the food: very good in the restaurant, reasonably priced (but obviously not cheap). However, the breakfast was disappointing: little variety and quality in the fruit (in a place such as Brazil!!!), slow service for the eggs or tapioca you ordered, and little variety of bread and pastry, as well as other deficiencies (quality of cheese, ham or salami, etc.). A special positive mention for the cleaning personnel: very efficient and nice, always respected the requests I made about timing. Bravo.

Amazing hotel - perfect location on Ipanema beach, outstanding service, stunning pool area for sunsets & drinks. Bed quality is beautiful - I had an amazing nights sleep. While the front rooms with ocean view are bigger / better, then courtyard rooms are also good with great air conditioning, bathroom products, etc. 3rd stay here - will stay again!

Massive impressive lobby, but all the seats and armchairs need reupholstering or cleaning, very grubby to sit in. The pool is very small, and the facilities there are quite poor by other hotel in the area. No separate changing rooms or locker room. No showers after gym activities. The bedroom is large, a bit dated in style. No tea or coffee maker, no kettle, no complimentary water, for me, unacceptable in a 5*hotel. The bed is massive but the sheets don’t fit. So we spent twelve nights constantly re making the bed. Very poor sleep as a result. For god sake, make the beds smaller, or the sheets and blankets bigger. Overall we enjoyed our stay, despite these shortcomings. Concierge staff were the most helpful and friendly. Check in staff, not so much. Very cold and aloof.

A wonderful hotel with the perfect location right on Copacabana Beach. The rooftop offers a breathtaking view of the sea. The pool there is perfect for cooling off and makes sunbathing bearable. For places on the beach, the hotel has its own sunbeds with umbrellas. The hotel and its staff provide exceptional service. No wish is neglected. No matter what problem arises, you try to score with a friendly manner and great gestures. The cleanliness in the hotel rooms and in the entire hotel area is very good. The food and drink on offer is delicious and reasonably priced for a 5 star hotel. Thank you for a great stay at this hotel.

Overall, it is comfortable and convenient. There is a beach opposite the hotel and there are staff to maintain order. It is not bad for a vacation. But the sea view room is different from expectations, the view is as shown in the picture. The restaurant tastes good.

The service attitude is very good 👍 It's hygienic and clean, and the environment is beautiful. You don't have to go out to enjoy the sun and the beach. The breakfast is very rich, and the inside and outside courts are very popular.

We booked a standard room and got a standard room--despite ******* leading us to believe that we'd get an upgrade. And that's OK, but we were very disappointed that one of the rooms allotted to us (we had booked 2 rooms) had water seepage. Plus, despite our request--made one day earlier--that we get two rooms next to each other, we were given rooms on different floors. This is inexcusable because the hotel had ample time to give us two rooms next to each other: we didn't check in until 8 am the NEXT morning (our flight landed at 6 am and I didn't want to not be able to nap--in case we felt like it--after a long flight and jet lag), and I emailed them the previous morning. Then, after promising to have a new room ready for us in 30 minutes, it took them an hour to do so, while my wife and daughter were made to wait in the lobby. More than the delay, it was the lack of courtesy--for example, my wife had to proactively go to the desk and ask for updates about when the room would be ready, rather than the front-desk person providing it to her--that was more bothersome. In addition to these problems, one of the rooms (605) we have has a bathroom door that's stuck--it doesn't open or close easily. I haven't bothered to complain about this because I am sharing the room with a family member (so it's OK if the door isn't fully shut) and we are only now here for one more night anyway. Last year, we stayed Windsor Copacabana, which is definitely less plush, but it is also much (more than 2 times) less expensive, and I feel that you at least get your money's worth there. This is not to say that everything is bad. The staff are friendly and (although we aren't staying in one), the ocean facing rooms (I got a glimpse into one of them) look great. The location is amazing as well, and the view at the top (swimming pool, restaurant, gym) level is very nice.

The hotel is awesome, it is the best hotel in the area, the swimming pool is beautiful, the beach is outside, the room is comfortable and clean, very high-end, the breakfast is a little less
