Bali Garden Beach Resort Reviews

I recently stayed at this hotel in Bali, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, I was given a room that had a noticeable musty smell, and the sheets had black mold spots on them. Additionally, the bathroom was missing basic amenities like disposable toothbrushes. After contacting the front desk, I was moved to another room, which had a slightly less damp odor. To make matters worse, this was the only hotel in Bali where the tap water was salty. I tested the tap water for residual chlorine and found the levels to be extremely high, with the water turning a bright yellow after the test. When I requested bottled water for brushing my teeth and washing my face, I was informed that guests are only allowed two bottles per day. This felt quite stingy, especially considering the circumstances. The next morning, I was greeted by an unexpected guest—a cockroach at the bathroom door, which was quite disheartening. The showerhead was extremely dirty, with visible stains. Thankfully, I had brought my own filtered showerhead, but after just twenty minutes of use, the filter turned black, revealing visible impurities. Lastly, the breakfast options were limited and not very appetizing. Overall, I was disappointed with my stay and would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

What’s Great: Prime Location – Right on the beach, next to a mall, and across from Waterbom. You can’t get much closer to the action. Beautiful Views – Many rooms offer breathtaking ocean views, making your stay even more relaxing. Good Breakfast Spread – A mix of local and international options, including live egg and pancake stations. Friendly Staff – The service is warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. What’s Not So Great: Not Disability-Friendly – Accessibility is a big issue; the resort was not built with mobility-impaired guests in mind. Room Service Issues – Only available until 10 PM, and hot food is served in soft paper boxes without plates—not the best experience. Limited Milk Options – No oat or almond milk at breakfast, which is surprising for a resort of this caliber. Extra Charges for Water – Being charged for additional water refills is an unnecessary downside. Final Verdict: Bali Garden Beach Resort offers a solid 4-star experience with a fantastic location, views, and friendly staff. However, accessibility issues, room service quality, and minor inconveniences prevent it from being a true 5-star stay. If you're looking for a well-located beachfront stay in Kuta and can overlook the small drawbacks, this resort is still a great choice.

The service is great, and the staff are professional and nice. The location is near the airport. Although the hotel isn't brand new, it is still very clean and well-organised. The price is reasonable. We enjoyed our stay there.

Bali Gardens is a beautiful hotel in a great position for restraunts Waterbom park and shopping will defo stay in this hotel but would recommend room that is on garden and pool side

Staff were extremely happy and helpful. Location is great and amenities were pleasant. Suits many age groups however we (45 and 50yo) felt it was lacking some of the entertainment and atmosphere offered at nearby resorts. Eg band/artist at the foreshore restaurant. Buffet selection was nice and the gardens were very well manicured.

Great older Bali style resort , 3 pools to choose from under tropical trees gardens , rooms sufficient a little dated but bathroom has been remodeled , staff super friendly and helpful , several restaurants to choose from all really good , would stay again , note they are repairing beach wall with heavy machinery but not a major problem

The hotel is.fine only the position.of aircon.is.facing.the bed which is very unusual

Old hotel.. need renovation. Resepsionist and breakfast resto staff very friendly and helpful but not for the staff in the cafe front the beach.. really2x not friendly, show the cynical face when we are relax in the pool near the beach and didn't order the food although we are as a guest of the hotel and still full after got the breakfast. So annoying.. not recomended to stay for local people at all, especially if related for the price.

It was a very nice hotel we'v enjoyed our vocation.

I am originally from Indonesia but i live in Colorado now with my family. We came to Bali to enjoy our vacation. And i need to do some work and report from here even when i’m on vacation. So if you are on the same boat like me, my review with worth your time. 1. Internet is not working AT ALL. They move us 3 times in just 2 days to get better internet signal, still not working. We have to check out the hotel 1 day earlier than our reservation, I have to work and to open a website, it’s impossible! 2. The 2 days we were day, the lift is not working. They have to move our luggage from main floor to lower lever to 3rd floor, by stairs! I have to carry my 6 years old daughter that already sleep, to move to another room at 11pm, by stairs. Don’t waste your time and money on this hotel. Or should i say, if you are here, lower your expectations. 3. Front desk only until 11pm. The rest of the night, security is in charge. So if you need anything past 11pm, good luck with that! 4. Building is out dated. Air condition is not work properly. 5. Very small TV. I mean, this TV size is the smallest from all of the hotel we’ve ever been. Another costumer next door also came out that night when i was talking to the hotel staff regarding the internet. He is from Germany and have to work using the internet. They also leave in the morning when we check out from the hotel. The staff on the breakfast area is not too friendly with people that have “local face” they are super friendly with people that looks “bule” or tourist. I mean, i am a tourist too now. I’m a US citizen, but I’m originally from Indonesia, so yeah, i looks like local people. They don’t even greet me. They ask the proof of the breakfast ticket from me! The tourist, they greet them by their name. How in the world is this hotel got 4 star? I don’t understand. It should be a 2 star hotel, and that’s me being generous. Stay here and enjoy our vacation? That’s not an option! we move to another hotel. Forget this one. Sorry, but Hard pass.
