The best view in Ubud, the price is not low! super tasty food, very nice staff!!

Very pleasant stay! The food and breakfast was really good, the room is clean and have everything needed. We loved the pool and the view it oversees. The only downside is the bathroom, the lighting is very weak, even in the morning it’s very dark as sunlight doesn’t reach in. It’s connected to the outdoor but that’s common in Bali. Good location and they have shuttles provided to go in to Ubud centre.

This hotel is lovely, the private pool is amazing. The staff is really helpful and the floating breakfast was great. Although they charge an additional 150 000 for the floating tray. It’s more or a couple vibe though so its a good choice if you’re traveling with your partner.

Let me start by saying that Bali is one big eco-park. All the villas have great views. We visited more than 7 villas, from cheap to expensive, and I can say that this hotel is seriously overpriced! We booked for 2 nights, and after the first, we checked into another hotel, Anumana, which is a 20-minute walk away (highly recommended). So, what I didn't like: 1) The hotel grounds are absolutely nonexistent, with 5 villas and the Tere restaurant at reception. 2) We were checked into our room late because there were problems with the train (no apologies, no fruit, like in other hotels). 3) You have to descend a steep staircase to get to the villa, which is also where people come back from rafting. 4) The room is VERY old and overlooks the view, and the front door locks with a padlock! You can easily pull out the handle and let anyone in. 5. The toilet is outside and poorly lit. 6. The mattress is soft and sagging, and has seen better days. 7. There's no canopy over the sun loungers, so if it's raining, you can't even get out. Conclusion: I DO NOT RECOMMEND! The price is higher than in newer, more comfortable places. No one helped me with my luggage up the steep stairs. It feels like a real hustle and bustle.

It was a wonderful stay. There were a lot of insects, but thankfully there were plenty of insect repellent items available. I highly recommend it for couples! ✨

Доброго дня. Приветливый персонал. В момент заселения все пожелания были учтены. Местоположение у отеля замечательное, только сворачиваешь с шумной улицы и оказываешься в вакууме. Тишина и единение с природой. Особенно ночью, это просто кайф. Настоящие тропики, летучие мыши и светлячки. Днем встречались белки. Вилла с видом на реку- потрясающий вид и приватное расположение. Виллы выполнены в Балийском стиле. Обслуживание в отеле хорошее. Услуги спа предоставляет другой отель (видимо из одной линейки). По желанию спа проводят прямо на вилле, либо приезжают за вами на электрокаре, 3 минуты и вы в спа зоне с водоемом, рыбками и звуками шума воды. Касаемо ремонта, да, это не новый отель, да есть вопросы по полотенцам, халатам, косметическим наборам в ванной(их ежедневном пополнении). Но вид и единение с природой, тишина, удовольствие от террасы с бассейном, приватности, перекрывают все эти нюансы. Кстати, постельное белье наисвежайшее, хороший матрас. Уборка ежедневная, вилла чистая. Мы несколько раз обедали и ужинали в отеле, кухня отличная. Предоставляется скидка на ресторан Tropical в центре Убуда, с видом на оживленную улицу и ресторан индийской кухни. В нем меню намного шире и все тоже очень вкусно. Когда выезжали с отеля, персонал вышел и провожал нас, пока машина порядочно не отъехала. Ребята вежливые, улыбчивые и дружелюбные. Стараются помочь в решение возникших вопросах, но несли у вас сложно с Английским, то только переводчик и к сожалению даже с ним могут возникнуть легкие недопонимания. Рядом с отелем, в пешей доступности, находится знаменитый ресторан со статуями, Taman Dedari. А также, обменник и маркеты. В общем, отелем остались довольны и рекомендуем к посещению ! 👍

Staff are friendly food was great and the atmosphere was very romantics and relaxed, we started at the royal pita maha and come across this place while we searched for somewhere for an evening meal and it was a good choice for our evening

I’ve reviewed Black Penny before and I’ll continue doing so because it is my favorite in Ubud. I’ve stayed at several villas/hotels in Bali/Ubid over the last 15 years or so and Black Penny is my favorite for several reasons. 1. The private infinity pools overlooking the rainforest and river is so peaceful and beautiful. 2. The staff is impeccable and so sweet. 3. Love the bathtub and bed! 4. Great breakfast. 5. Fantastic view from restaurant. 6. There aren’t that many villas so even when full it seems so private and quiet. I’ll always come back here as much as I can!

The best Villas ever, calmness, respect, privacy, comfrot, facilities, the design of the villas and style, views, everything is so perfect cannot be better. the only thing is that food quantity in breakfast is not so big but it was so fresh and tasted amazing. Thank you Black Penny.
