Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Sunset Road

The staff were very nice. They would make sure all your needs were met. Special thanks goes to Ulan, Lia and others who were working hard during the breakfast to make sure everything was fine. And of course Agur Merta who was our room attendant.

I stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott Bali Kuta Sunset Road and have to give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars, as my experience was unfortunately marred by significant air conditioning issues. While the staff were incredibly friendly and the hotel’s modern design and pool area are lovely, the AC maintenance during my stay resulted in severe condensation problems in the room. The floor was constantly wet and slippery, and the room felt uncomfortably damp and humid throughout the night, making it difficult to relax or sleep comfortably. It is a shame because the bed was comfortable and the location is convenient, but until they resolve the technical issues with the climate control and humidity, it falls short of the usual Marriott standard.

We stayed 7 nights for our honeymoon, and we had a wonderful holiday at Fairfield by Mariott Bali Kuta Sunset read. From the second we arrived the hotel, until the day we left, we was overwhelmed by the personal service and the effort the all the staff showed to make us feel welcome. When we booked the stay, we had expectations of a nice holiday of coz, but we never expected the staff treat us like they did. So genuine real, and so warm, always with a big smile. It made us feel really special, and it made our holiday perfect. The room was cleaned every day, and they fill up with coffee tea and water every day. They also offered laundry service. The breakfast buffet was great, and offered a wide and various selection of of local food, combined with traditional international food. And in the evening you had ala carte with everything from pizzas and burgers, to Indonesian and typical Asian dishes, for good prices. The location of this hotel is in a very silent area, either no traffic around. So there is no other attractions around, beside of a minor shopping centre with some restaurants located in same building as the hospital about 5 minutes walk from hotel reception. If you need to withdraw money, there is ATM in walking distance, on the opposite side of at sunset Road.. Taxi to Kuta beach with Bluebird Taxi cost ca 40.000 IDR If you need taxi, Always make sure to use Bluebird , since they always use meters.. There is other Taxi companies also, but they operate without meter, and they ask you to pay in dollars, and the price is often 5 times normal price. We can really recommend Fairfield by Marriott to other travellers , if you want to have a special and memorable stay in a luxurious but affordable hotel, this is where you stay in Kuta Bali.

There are a lot of things that one can nit-pick on when reviewing a hotel, but what really made the difference for my stay has really been the sincerity and commitment of service I felt from the staff. Throughtout the stay they made an effort to communicate, to understand how our stay was, and how they could make it better if possible without having me feel that they were overdoing it. This is something that I have rarely experienced and found in a hotel through my various trips through the world. Overall the quality of room was good, the whole compound was clean, tidy and comfortable.
